Whats up with East Europe??

Some of the most richest architecture, scenery, etc. i see is from East Europe. The Gov. of these countires seem to be doing ok, some even joining the EU. But after viewing a few documentaries on them i cant help but wonder. Comm. had crippled these countries but they seem to be getting worse. Made me sick.

For example in Romania, hundreds of boys as young as 13 were prostituing themselves to older men. Their dad's were pimping them on many occasions. Italy was also a scene for these horrific things. Young girls as young as 12 were working the streets in many countries. Boys sniffing glue all day in the middle of downtown?? WTF?? Girls replying to newspaper ads for jobs only to be kidnapped and used for sex trade in Russia, Kosovo and England. Are these countries really that poor and doomed? Has nothing gotten any better? I'm not saying these things dont go on in any other country but it seemed to be an abundance and a serious problem.

No im not the one sniffing the glue, actually they were on your favorite channel...CNN...oh let me guess, in this case its probably wrong for you right? And what is your point anyways, East Europe isnt poor? Any idiot knows it is, Hungary, Romania, etc..i guess that would put you lower than the idiots. Yopiss.

Romania, yes, but Hungary is not that poor. Infact they're quite well off.

My point Surf_pee, is that Italy is wealthy and not part of Eastern Europe. In fact, Italy is in the top 20 of wealthy GDP nations and is a Western European nation. They are a member of the EU and NATO even.

Therefore your assumption that prostiution has any corrolation to wealth is blatantly wrong as demonstrated to yourself, by yourself in the case of italy.

Also Drug Tito, good point. Now surf_pee that you've demonstrated you have clearly no understanding of the financial situation in Eastern Europe (and confusing rich Western European naitons with Eastern ones), I think you would be closer to the classificaltion of 'idoit lower than any idiot'

well i know poland is doing fine, but as for the rest they have large and very strong mafia organizations. kinda hard to thrive in an economy where you get shot for just showing any signs of wealth gain.

the thing with the western media is that they name gypsies as Romanians. Alot of those "dads" that are selling "thier" kids are infact stolen children or unwanted/mistake children by teenagers.
I saw a program ones about something like this, and most of the people showed were a bunch of swarthy gypsies

I don't deny that there are alot of Romanian women working as prostitutes in the west due to the tough econ, but most of the people you see singing and begging in western Europe are gypsies

Actually Yopiss, i never said Italy was poor or part of East Europe...what is actually happening there is Romanians are living on the streets there, in places like Milan, etc and doing there bidding. Now you are the judgmental idiot.

Sheesh people, the piece was on the other night on CNN and essentially it examined the illegal sex trade across European borders. The Romanian poster bass drive was right, the young men in Italy were of Gypsy families(Roma), there was also however the street children of Romania as we have all heard about and they were in the same predicament as well. One British bloke was a major perv, he had a website with young men whom he arranged to have sex with tourists and other interested parties. If he was arrested I think he remarked that he would just bribe the Romanian officials. He was a child molestor in England and moved to Romania to fulfill his fancies. Essentially the piece showed me how dirt poor migrants lived in Western Europe when they arrive from the East. The conditions in Italy were squalid at best. I am working on a piece about Brazil and the favelas, there you can see the same thing as well, granted Brazil is a much more sexually liberal nation but the options for the poor is limited at best in a favela.
