Good lakes to go to

What are some good lakes to go to that aren't too far from TO? I feel like i'll die from the heat if i don't go for a swim sometime soon!

only if you wanna come out with an extra eye or leg or something

and lol @ lake wilcox....back when it was clean about 15 years ago, i used to go swimming there with my family every summer. My aunt an uncle live on Lake Rd right there, so we'd go every week.

For fishing and boating/swimming, you can't beat Lake Simcoe or Lake Couchiching in Orillia, too bad the ppl suck... but you can gamble while your there.

How many km is Simcoe from TO?

96. Take 400 North to Barrie. Get off at the Dunlop exit. Follow Dunlop to 5 points (centre of downtown) and turn right at the lights. Follow that and turn right onto Lakeshore...there's the beach!

Wasaga Beach is good but avoid it on weekends unless you want to be trapped in an endless gino hell! LOL

The beach itself is really nice though and you can walk out in the water about half a kilometer.
