Come on guys it cant be that bad

Posted by Mike_Foyle on May-11-2004 07:01:

dude i like this guitar sound needs a bit more reverb in my opinion, but thats prolly just down to taste. if u got someone torecord a real guitar that would sound awsome Love the strings, and the LFO on the vocal pad thing. its very nice. There is nothing i dont like about the track, but one thing that i think could be improved very slightly.... the melody is amazing but the last few bars i think the bassline should change ever so slightly. ill post a midi bassline when i get some time so u can see what i mean, i think it would just add more emotion to the track, but as it is already its gorgeous i love it well done mate keep making music

PS.. The pads at the begining are gorgeous

Thanks mike! I'll take that in mind, and post that mid later.
Cheers.

Hey Antonio!

Nice stuff you have here. Let me review.

That tick/rim from the start, it would be nice if you gave that one more reverb or so, to create a bigger room. I think it would suit in this mix.
Bassline is good. Kick is ok... (but I'm not impressed by it) The clap (or snare) is lovely, maybe just some more presence cause it's a nice one. Nice pads/fx going on.
The choir is shivering a bit too much. Bit
The strings are nice, maybe add some more reverb to them, make it flow better, and make them a bit fatter. Did you stereo enhance them fully?
The guitar.. hmm yeah it's a great idea, but i think it has too much mid.. it's a bit too much to the front or so. Hope you can still fix that.
Good ideas in this one. Some sounds would be better if they were fatter, but this is good stuff m8! Flaming in the name is better indeed.

Thanks Jay! I have never used stereo enhance to tell you the truth, why do it need it? I mean what is it good for? . Anyway, thanks for the review, ill keep it in mind for the nex time!

Ow man stereo enhancing is so great if you've never used it... I stereo enhance everything except the kick and bass. You should place every sound in it's place, and not only in the EQ spectrum, but in the room too with stereo enhancing and panning. String must be pulled out to the left and right, and you can give them a delay time between right and left. Give room to your sounds, I can assure you some great improvement! PM me if you've experimented with it or if you want to know more.

very good track i like first 2 minutes, breakdown is quite nice but i think you should add there something :P but sounds are decent you should try send it

Posted by Electronicmaji on May-11-2004 22:48:

delay 2 and widen effect also is adds something to everything...

thank you

Thumbs up

its a little loud
but the melody is REALLY good, the kick/percs/bass is amazing, very original trance style, the congo sound maybe add some more reverb on it? kinda sounds like dry but its still good, the guitar is very good hehe, it sounds like an electric guitar which gives u a different feeling, i like it a lot
maybe add more reverb on the guitar too, and give it more variation, cause it seems like its going by the beat only which isnt good, just put it on different squares thats all, i dunno how to explain...
the pads are excellent, the voice i love gives a nice feeling, this is really really good, only thing id fix is the guitar variation,
very classical piece of work

excellent work, keep it up

Peace in the middle east

ok i know i listend to this before

i like the kick and bass.

that rolling shaker i don't like, distracts when it happens

i like the break alot.

guitar is nice indeed, could use a more complex chord progression.

outro is good.

good EM track!

great song hard to say naything new about it but its great...

I LOVE that breathing pad how did you make that its amazing.....also the percussion and hight hats are nice the guitar in overall is good but it sounds a little strange maybe too soft? sounds a little to electric guitar for me but its cool anyway....would be cooler some classical or merengue guitar that would be wicked ..but thats personal prefernce...anyway percussion, hi hats sound good the melody is outrageous and overall structure is great you should clean it up a little and send it to armin or solar stone, scott bond they play this kind of stuff sometimes...most times...

9/10 my ratin...

Posted by eulerfx on May-12-2004 16:45:

...typing as I listen...

I like the almost oriental intro sfx.
The bg synth-sfx are a nice addition, add a lot of energy.
I like how the melody emerges, slowly.
The breakdown is nice, in a good place.
I also like the vocal sample, but maybe quiet it down a little?
Again, I think you should make the guitar more heavy sounding. Maybe use the Slayer plugin. And like someone said, use more complex progression.

i fuckin love your woodwind melody!! that shit goes right down my spine bro......

Posted by jwear2004 on May-12-2004 23:00:

This is quite nice and well produced! The only thing is that at at around 2:25, when there's only the lead synth/pad/whatever, it sounds a bit bare. Of course, it does get better when the effects and other elements kick in. Good work.

Much like replaced memory, this is sounding a little tinny too. Needs a but more in the bottom end and a reduction in the mid range. Cant fault production/arrangement though.
