Talking

I noticed how nobody mentioned NTL, and rightfully so, the biggest joke of an ISP in the UK, even worse than BT! AVOIIIIIID! :|

why do you need to know by the way Swamper? you moving over here or something?

my arse! granted NTL's old dial up service back in teh day was farscial. but ive had ntl cable for atleast 3 years, had it go down about 3 times, other than that its been plain sailing. and the service has gone up 238k since it began free of charge. thats nearly 50% from when it began.

if i moved elsewhere and only wanted a 700k-ish stlye connection, id prob get ntl again.

well, let me tell you the complete opposite mate.

I have had SO many problems with NTL, I have experienced speed issues for the past 2 months, I've made 17 phonecalls, I've had continuous disconnections to my service, in one of my phonecalls I was told my connection has dropped over 3000 times in the past 12 months, THREE THOUSAND!

made the 18th phonecall yesterday, they still have not done anything about it, I have been told its a server issue that wont be fixed until 1st of June, so mate, dont tell me I am talking out my arse.

dont wish to be funny with you man but come on, 3000 disconnects in a year, 500 of which were in a couple of weeks... an utter joke, NTL have been fobbing me off for ages, I managed to get a refund on my next NTL bill but that aint the point mate, to say I am talking bollocks is just a tad bit harsh! I am appalled by them, you seem to be one of the lucky ones :|

ive been there with ntl. u of all people should remember the old ntl 56k days i and yevat used to have, so i feel ur pain. while their old service to me is as their current service to u is, this cable rocks.

their tv is still shite tho

Posted by Simcut on May-14-2004 06:34:

Thumbs up

Indeed Coup mate.

NTL TV is so damn slow... interactive takes half an hour to appear (thats if it actually works!) and just the rest of it takes forever....
