Underrated/Overrated -

I was wondering about some traxx...

Do u think tracks like -
My ladyblue,Journey of life, Punk (classic one), Traffic, Flight643, Nothing but you, C:/del*.mp3 - are famous only cus they were produced by famous djs/producers~?

i don't think that any of those are particularly amazing, but they are ok tracks...just average...

im sorry but threads like this are just calling for open flameing...

i mean listen to what u want, every track in someone elses mind is gonna be over-rated/under rated...

why does it matter what people think is over rated/under rated?

i love nu nrg, while tons of people out there cant stand anything over 130.

Agreed.

I agree with 'Filler, those are all average tracks IMO. But hey, listen to what the heck you want.

I personally really like Punk and Flight 643.

Overrated : this type of threads.
Underrated : not making these threads.

many people doesn't like tiesto's "new" style...but that doesn't mean that the songs are average.
i think flight643, punk and C:\del* is over average

My thread could call flaming if I was complaining, bashing the tracks, I didnt mention these songs cus I dont like, because I LIKE these tracks, but my point was:

If a producer not well known or not well located in the scene was the producer of the track, for example:

If Yves Deruyter was the producer of Journey of life, this single could be famous like it was last year'?
If Max Walder was the producer of Traffic, could be Traffic be so famous'?
I think not... but Tiesto did the song, so the fans will love the track only for the producer, not for the value of track itself...

This is one of the problems there are lot of trancers complaining about trance 2004, cus people are focused on big names, but there are new producers like Nathan Fake, Filo & Peri, Petter, Envio, Mark Otten doing a good work, better the latest music from top djs/producers.

But its my oppinion, only this, you're free to not agree

I think Flight 643 is way overrated. As well as Nothing But You (the song annoys me).

Thats wrong, my friend fell in love with Traffic and he never listens to trance or techno. I also think Flight 643 is great track live!

Those tracks are all (except My Ladyblue) IMO very overrated. Mediocre at the most.. All famous probably because they are produced by big name djs...

I think Punk would've been famous regardless of who produced it.

Flight 643 may have been famous regardless of the producer only because it's old enough to have been a fairly new style when it first came out.

Edit: I was wrong about Traffic and C:/del*

C:\Del*.mp3 is an awesome track, in my opinion. However, I have to disagree with the name of the tune.

rotfl, so people play these songs just because marco v/tiesto made them, and no other reason? There are plenty of tracks that each of them made that no one cared for.

You have to be pretty clueless if you really believe that. I remember when Traffic was heard for the first time at the TMF Awards in April 2003. Everyone went absolutely CRAZY! And no one knew who was the producer behind it, even if there were speculations for weeks. Traffic was an instant hit, regardless of Tijs' name behind it.

Guess I am clueless, all those Traffic flaming threads got to me.
