TA Track of the Week 5

Ok I setup the poll for this week's voting and there are 8 tracks.

I must say this was the best week so far in my opinion. Hopefully we can get tracks this great every week.

can some one post a link, so i can download the songs i havent got, AG is to slow at the mo, prefere a direct download

you need to sign up at quickbase first and join "the club".

once you have signed up, you can dl the songs from there after your account was activated. But make sure to contribute to next weeks poll!

so when can we start uploading for week 6 ???

The tracks from last week are still in the base......Hopefuly ant1832 take them away soon.....So we can upload new stuff for this week....

Sorry guys...the records are now deleted and ready for more uploads.

We now have 19 members. I'm really glad to see that we also had 19 votes...thanks to everyone for participating. Again great job on this past weeks tracks guys. Hope this week has as many good tracks as last week did

Edit-I just went back to look a the poll and there are now 24 votes...obviously people are voting that aren't part of the group. Next week I need everyone to vote and leave a reply w/ ur vote so I can tell which ones are really part of the group.

So that poses the question...what do we do about this week. Do we re-vote or leave it as is and worry about it next week??? All members please leave input.

I think we should re-vote and those that voted leave the review so we know who voted for who and so, not cound those that are voting without been IN the group.

I think for this week the vote is fine. This is all about sharing new music anyways and not really about who wins what right? Next week I agree it is a good idea to write a comment with your vote so we know that only members are voting.

so we cool to upload new songs to the quickbase for week 6 then? forget last weeks vote, lets move on!

It does not work to upload for me.....Is there anybody else with the same problems?

There were a couple other people that had problems, but we couldn't figure out why. Those people just uploaded to myplay then e-mailed me the details and I moved it for them. I know its a little hassle, but it's the only workaround I can think of.

I'm deciding which one I'm going to post and it should be up by the end of the day.

Songs should start going up tommorrow when I send out my usual reminder e-mail later on tonite. And I agree lets shoot for 15 this week guys

uploading never worked for me...I dunno why, I got 16kb/s upstream...anyway, I'll pm you later as usual ant1832

btw we need a cool name for our 'club'

Now my computer is very strange.....I cant even upload to myplay....And not to the datebase either.....On myplay it�s says connecting to server all the time......


And on the datebase it says error check your internet connection or something like that.....It has worked for me to upload tracks before....Man this is strange....

Andi, what's the exact problem...? there is no status bar when uploading, so it looks like it doesn't work, but if you wait long enough you should be able to upload. You know how big the song is you wanna send, so what you can do is double-click the connection icon in the windows-bar and watch the upload transfer so you can see when it is done...has worked fine for me.
I hope you get it, too. You've got good taste and new tunes!!!

Actually his track is up now...i uploaded it for him. I also upped mine and x-dream's so check'em out dawn.

same here. i almost see this pattern where i can only upload a track every second week. LOL i've been observing and it has been that way. one week i can and i week i can't. i'd bet it would work for me next week.

Maybe the difference is the time of day ur uploading. If ur on cable and its evening when a lot of cable users in ur area may be on then you may be timing out.

Bad thing is that quickbase is used mainly by businesses so during the day the quickbase servers are getting hit hard, but at night not too many businesses are working.

Either way we're screwed
Daytime-quickbase slow
Nightime-isp slow
Just my thoughts.

anyway if ur not able to upload just up to myplay and pm me the details. Or e-mail me the mp3...I'll pm the e-mail.

What are the requirements for this club...I would love to join but I want to know what exactly I will have to contribute....thanks!

Every week from Monday 8p.m.-Fri 8p.m. everyone uploads a track that they want to share w/ other TA's. The track doesn't have to be brand new, but we don't want tracks that everyone's heard.

Then you have from Fri 8pm-Mon 8pm to download all the tracks that were uploaded and vote on which one you liked best in the polls section.

Ideally we would like every member to upload a track every week, but if you miss a week it's not a big deal...but you do need to at least vote. If you don't upload or vote, ur taken off of the list.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

cool...thanks for the info....my only concern was that you wanted brand spankin new tracks or stuff still out on promo or something....and I'm not that current to be getting stuff like that...but I'd def like to join soon....prolly this week...i'll follow the directions that were posted earlier in this thread. Thanks!

Can someone tell me exactly how to upload? You click on ADD RECORD then click on BROWSE to select file then SAVE. Correct? But doing this only gives me a status bar and a sandglass...no matter how long I wait.
