Be-TA Anthem: Kindred Spirits - Plus Ultra (incl. Icone Remix)
while discussing the organisation of a party for all Belgian TranceAddicts this summer, the idea came up to create some sort of offical anthem for the Be-TA forum. a few hours later, Pumaz sent me a fantastic melody he had written that same night. it all went pretty fast from there..
Pumaz & Tor present:

mastering is REALLY good, the clap is too long i think thats all, like it sticks out too long, at 4:51 the synths are too loud maybe because u cant hear the kick and bass and percs too much, so id say make em louder and lower the synth a little
melody is really good 
i think it matches Belgian style, just one thing, why dont u get M.I.K.E. to make u the anthem? 
first hes from Belgian isnt he? o but wait, he hates TranceAddict because of all of our mp3 leeching

Sounds like you're gonna have a great party! The track sounds classic; it doesn't bring anything new to the world of trance and is a bit static, not much going on. But the sounds are very good and tight and that makes this a top track! I sure like the rolling bass and the nice little percussions floating on top, at the beginning. Thanks for sharing and have a nice party out there!!

The melody is OMG, but the synth is terrible. The kick is weak. The contruction of the song is weird... But anyways, good song. I like the bass-sound. Try to add much more low frequenzies on the mastering, imo.
Percs way too quite/undefined - seems a bit messy up there. 
Pads that enter in the intro really lush. The LPF on the pad in the breakdown starts too low for my liking could do with starting ever so slightly higher. I also think they are a bit too loud in comparison with the lead too. Outro is really nice, should be minted to mix from.
This is mint . I like the synths, and the melody kicks ass. Kick could be louder i think.

great stuff here,
very trancy stuff going on here, energetic and buildups fying everywhere. the breakdown is great, i like the emotional string buildup with the lead, the notation could be faster imo.
the kick is very dubby and personally i am not a great fan of them but it works well with the bass. the lead needs sumthing to phatten it up like a touch more detune or heavier chorus or faster flange just a little bit.
the overall track has great effects and elements in it which i like a lot.
nice job.

Quality tune guys! Melody is indeed great, as is the bass. I like that second melody that is introduced later in the track too.
Seems a bit high-ended though for some reason.

Yeah, push the ceiling..or jump into the ceiling..you know - ceiling,not the walls and not the floor, but the thing above you Hehe! I meant that if I had been in a club and heard the melody I would probably have gone crazy!

i dont like how you drop the volume when you change octaves on the lead... other than that, just master up the percussion a little and i think this is a great tune. Melody is orgasmic
