Do you need headphones that ave mono/stereo switches for mixing (cuesplit)?
I mean Ch. 1 in left ear and Ch. 2 in right?
Dont normal headphones just automatically switch to which is needed.. cos i see that the Sony MDR-V700DJ's dont have them and only the Pioneer SEDJ-5000's do..

you don't need such a switch (I didn't even know it exists).
The mixer does this for you so if you have a 3$ stereo headphone you can use the cue-split

Smiley DJ

ive got the Pioneer SEDJ-5000's and yes i use the switch.....it lets u isolate the sound better

the sony mdr-v250's have stereo/mono switches....but i dont think anyone would want them to spin with...

About the last post that mentioned the Sony MDR-V250V's:

They SUCK, just like the rest of the Sony MDR-VCRAPDJ line! The V250V not only sounds bad, but also are flimsy in construction - and though the earpieces can be flipped over for one-sided monitoring, the @#$% cord gets in the way no matter which side you try to flip over!

Enjoy ShadySlim

Ok coool, i will probably be lookin for a pair of sony's then.....thanx for the help by the way

MDR-V700DJ's here in Oz cost around $300-$340..
go to Sony Central- they sell the cheapest!

And just a note on those turntables you are getting..
DONT buy ANYTHING at Sanity music stores because they are the BIGGEST rip offs.. trust me and ask your friend.
The only thing good is the Pioneer SEDJ-5000 Headphones they have which are at a cheap $200! Thats cheaper than the USA or anywhere else besides Japan!

Posted by VoiDeT on Sep-11-2001 09:07:

hehe what makes you say anything about sanity? where did sanity come from? or as i like to say insanity.....yea they are selling ther 1200's mkII for $1200 each!!! whoa, major rip off, the only thing i buy from them are records, which are at a standard price, hey DJ Darchinova where do you live??
