The perfect way to start a CD!
We all know of the famous "Aria-Dido(AVB universal religion mix)" to start off Tiesto-SummerBreeze II (i think).
But recently I made a new mix and started it off with "FILO & PERI - SPECTRUM" and everything just went perfect after that. I would have to say that at this point in time, if there was a competition on the best track to open a CD with, I'de immediately nominate Spectrum.
Conjure One - Damascus
Just goes to show how people can be complete opposites in terms of taste. I, for one, love every Filo & Peri production with the exception of Spectrum. I hate that track.
The MFA - The Difference it makes. Brilliant track, and Holden was brilliant for using it.

theres one remix of exor something with part 2 that is just great to open with...forgot to who this remix was made...well
I really do like Dido - "Aria (AVB Mix)" - it has everything, angelic vocals, nice melody, nice bass.
I also really like the intro for Noel Sanger's "A State of Altered Consciousness" which is Goldrush - "A1 Angel Mix". Its soooo perfectly progressive and dark, yet melodic.

do a search for "intro tracks" and the like, theres been millions of threads full of ideas to start a set
recluse-isle dauphine(intro mix)
markus schulz pres elevation-clear blue(intro mix)
george hales & james cosgrove-a distant future(michael feihstel intro edit)
i like starting sets with breaks
i always took aria-dido (avb remix) as a finisher, quite good as last song, nice outro
song is a bit too powerful to open a set in my opinion
envio - touched by the sun (envio's sunrise mix) is a nice song to start with
ATM Mark Otten - Tranquility (Markus Schulz Remix).
Ferry Corsten - Kyoto

Out of the CD's I own I like Sasha's intro on NE:Expeditions. Head Honcho - Waters Of Jericho.
Tiesto - ISOS 3
Tiesto - In My Memory
both amazing intros
Goldenscan - Halcyon is an awesome intro-track! (see "Gatecrasher Resident Transmission 02")...
Sasha GU 013 ...
BT - Fibonacci Sequence

Threesome - Mohave
Astral Projection - Trance Dance
A CD im gonna make one day shall start with the first few minutes of:
Chicane f. Justine Suissa - Autumn Tactics (Chicane's End Of Summer Mix)
then finish with:
Chicane - Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers Remix)
naturally it will be the greatest CD ever to be compiled
