Best Mixing?

who is the Dj that kept The best and most Solid remixing this year?

was it:
PVD?
Tiesto?
Judje Jules?
Marco v?

You tell me?

Posted by Flowtation on Sep-01-2001 16:48:

AVB's mixing is always faultless... however i prefer Tiesto due to the Energy he gives you!

Posted by TimeportE on Sep-01-2001 16:54:

My favourite is just TIESTO.. but i have to say that PvD always spins great and that marco v. does his thing pretty good.. I only heard one live set of Judge Jules (Qontact..) and that one was great..
I love em All.. But Tiesto is just all little bit better

Posted by x-dream on Sep-01-2001 16:58:

I have to say Tiesto.....Saw him this week at gorgeous and he his the best right now.....

Posted by ripcurl on Sep-01-2001 17:03:

Tiesto?

I must say that the sets of tiesto has the most energy and power
but i think that Marco v is just emazing
did you all hear his sensation set?

and besides them there are of curse PvD and The Judje who are always emazing

His sensation set was very good BUT.. It was almost the same as his mysteryland set and he played almost completely the same set again a couple of weeks later in the .. still it was a good set

You are probably right

i guess you are right, but even so.
mraco v's mixing was better then tiesto, tiesto just dont have the same clarity as marco v has.

both are number 1 though

i thought his question is about REmixes???

"who is the Dj that kept The best and most Solid remixing this year? "

and I like the Scot Project remixes the most this year...

Posted by ripcurl on Sep-01-2001 17:30:

My question was about...

My question was about
the best dj at the mixing department, and remixing

the scot project are great but they are to loud for me, the bass is a killer,

Dj Mixing: Paul Van Dyk. always tends to feel the vibe and play to their enjoyment. By his set from Miami, i'm guessing he actually researches his venues to find out what type of music is "in" that location.

Studio mixing/remixing: TIESTO BY FARRRRRR. I've never really liked anything labeled as a "Paul Van Dyk remix", however PVDs original productions are definently superb. Marco V? no! . Judge Jules is okay in his Hi-Gate productions. nothing superb.

are you crazy, marco v is probably the most solid dj this year
with great remixes like:
such is life (marco v)
Liquidation (Marco V Remix)

and can you forget the new track that is due up this december??

Marco v is a "YES"

after hearing pvd at the radio1 dance party, he is the best mixer, sometimes it is hard to hear where the next tune starts or ends, it can sound like one big song, but i love judge jules, so i have to say him as well

Posted by breakdown on Sep-02-2001 00:20:

lol

1. dave seaman (without a doubt the most talented mixer)
2. pvd
3. avb
4. sasha
5. i dunno

hehe
tiesto can't mix for shit
=p
well.. maybe.. but not that well

For mixing skills John'00'Fleming is by far the best. His mixing skills in my opinion are far better then that of tiesto, AVB,and Corsten. Just listen to his essential mix and his new for your ears only CD.

Posted by havok118 on Sep-02-2001 05:21:

sasha, diggers
avb

tiesto can't mix records to save his life, but his productions are real good.

I also think pvd(only in the last year! before that he was amazing) is pretty bad mixing-wise as well, he's rarely ever perfect live.

Dumonde
Green Court
DJ Scot Project

I would have to say....AvB, Marco V (although I agree about the Mysteryland and Sensation sets) and Tiesto

its a hard one to judge.. as progressive DJs sound better mixing wise as the tracks flow more into each other,, whereas ,, with hard and uplifting you can hear the tracks coming in,, fat bass clashing together etc,,, it is so upliting in my view.... progresive is more of a layering style,, sure the bass can be strong.. but its not hard and fast.. i love hearing the tracks coming in..

in my view i think Carl cox is by far the best DJ of all.. ive seen most of the big names .. sure coxy is not really the style i like,, but tech wise there is no better.. in my view.. lol

as for some bad dj mixing
ive heard PVD have a few stuff ups.. rosemontags 2000 is it ?? mixing a track into heart of asia i think...big trainwreck there

oakie seems to stuff up a fair bit.. my friend saw him in adelaide on the perfecto tour and he couldnt get it together really..

this set has some pretty bad mixing,, i think he just wanted to play thoes tracks no matter how bad they sounded lol
