your all a bunch of fucking assholes.......i go out of my way to make your damn baseball thread and you dont even talk about BASEBALL!!!!! lets go you noobs, i wanna knows whos got the most hm's, rbi's......and shit!!!

Right now, Roger Clemens is the best pitcher in baseball. He's 7-0 with an era of 1.99 and 52 so's.
mother fucking carlos beltran of the kansas city royals. at 27, this kid is incredible. he has been compared to a young barry bonds because of his 5-tools (hitting, power, speed, defense, and arm). and he's getting better and better every year. right now he is batting .309 with 10 home runs, 28 rbi's, 9 doubles, 2 triples, and 10 stolen bases. his obp is .405, while his slugging is .659 making his ops a whopping 1.064. the point of all this is that it has been said by a few people that come july 31st he will be a yankee. i have also heard that there is no way he will be a yankee because the yankee's have nothing to trade. but i could definitely see it happening. lofton, dioner navarro (the yankees best positional prospect, a catcher), and a mid level pitcher in the minors (jorge de paula?) for beltran. throw in the yankees paying for all of lofton's salary and i could definitely see it happening. i dunno, i really hope he doesnt go to the yankees, but i guess we'll just wait and see. and this isn't because i want the mets to get him because beltran has said that he will not change positions and we have a good centerfielder.

Originally posted by Shamez214 i'm just glad that as of right now the mets have 3 or 4 guys that could be at the all-star game, 2 of them pitchers: tom glavine: 5 - 2 with a 2.05 era. 0.99 whip (walks/hits per inning pitched) and opponents are batting just .201 against him. he's looked like the tom glavine we thought we got last year. braden looper: straight zero's. hasnt allowed an earned run in 18 plus innings. not many strike outs, but he's a groundball picther. only 6 saves, but thats because we either lose or win by 6 runs. 0.74 whip and .175 baa (batting average against) mike piazza: his number's arent piazza-esque this year - .279 avg, 6 homeruns, 14 rbi - but with pudge and lopez out of the national league, the only other catcher who compares is paul la duca. but we live in new york and piazza is pretty much well liked everywhere, so we'll see him starting the all star game (catching roger clemens, won't that be a hoot?) kazuo matsui: again, his numbers are not that great - .254 avg, 3 homeruns, 14 rbi, only 2 stolen bases (he's picking that up now that floyd's back) - but, as we've seen every year, the japanese position players get TONS of votes. ichiro has led the majors in all-star votes every year since he's been here. so i'm assuming he'll be there as maybe a 3rd SS...
im surprised at who is doin really well this year.
michael young 56 hits .371
sean casey 52 hits .374
adrian beltre 50 hits .379 (is now living up to his potential)
ALBERT PUJOLS ENOUGH SAID....
still and always be a YANKEES FAN!
through thick n thin...gotta love donnie baseball as hitting coach
all we need now is for him to take the first base coach position and it'll be like he never left the corner!
yankees all the way...
tho they have to beat out the BOSoX tho...they have yet to do that...
but then again thats a great team toO...
cmon new york i know u can do it...

Originally posted by jonze234 ill give you piazza and glavine in the all star game but the other two are just wishful thinking. branden looper is doing pretty good but they are going to take gagne and wagner and possibly benitez over him for relievers. matsui is still a question mark for a lot people and they will probably end up picking veterans like renteria and orlando cabrera and i doubt they will go three deep at ss. but its still early so things can change. who knows maybe piazza will tear his groin off the bone again.

Originally posted by Shamez214 i'm not surprised at michael young at all. those rangers... incredible. i'd take their infield over any infield in the majors. possibly of all time... though i can't really back it up with facts, but the rangers infield is GREAT (offensively) and young.
my fantasy baseball teams underperform every single year. two of my four teams i've essentially given up on
