Has anyone seen the Tiesto interview in this months mixmag?
He complains that everyone in the world treats him like a king and in the UK he doesnt get picked up from the airport...
What a ****.
I know he's number 1 in the world but some humility never hurt anyone.

As I've said for yrs, Tiesto has become a premadonna, same with PvD but I mean so what you don't get picked up from the airport, they are paying you a rediculous amount of money to spin for a few hrs, why bitch about it.
I buy Mixmag for the Club listings, and maybe the CD but thats it

| Originally posted by Orko common, everytime we read something a personality said, and dont agree, we cant just say "ah...the mag probably just wrote what they wanted to anyways" this is a large publication, and we can only hope they are responsible people. it would be in THEIR best interests to print an acurate quote, so that Tiesto doesnt feel he was unfairly represented, and would therefore, do another interiview, which inturn would boost sales. If they were mis quoting people left right and centre, how would they hope to gain future interviews? would you interview with a publication which is known to distort a person words? i know i wouldnt, it would just asking for trouble |
I'm amazed that mixmag isn't band, the way they talk about drugs in it

| Originally posted by Orko well then...you gotta wonder why Tiesto would even grant them another interview??? Not very smart on his part, but i do agree that mixmag isnt a ground breaking news source...but something fun to read. but that doesnt explain why he would speak to people who make him out to be a "premadonna". but going by your logic, how do i know what you are saying is even true? you could be distorting a conversation to push your idea. not arguing, just saying it can go both ways. ![]() i guess you cant trust anybody these days! |
mixmag on the other hand, will probably sell more copies if there is some dj bitchin goin down
Well that's nothing compared to the DJ Mag article "Techno is too white" from Dave Clarke. Who cares, A List deejays make too much money and to hear that Tiesto does not get the royal treatment in the UK, really does not sadden my heart. The guy is making a ton of money per year, I assume it is more than some will make in their lifetimes and I don't see Tiesto hurting for bookings, CD sales or publicity. If I was an A list dj, I rather take a taxi ride into the city myself, I rather not be treated like a God. I mean everything else is paid for anyway and I assume Tiesto is making over 10,000 quid per gig in the UK, which works out to a nice payday for playing some of your own records and other people's records in a job that most people would kill to get.
Tijs' English sucks. They probably took a comment out of context. MixMag doesn't have anything better to talk about, shame on them.
And btw, last time Sasha & Diggers where at NY they carried their own records and called their own cab in the street without anyone's help. That's class.
Any DJ that arrives in a foreign place should have a ride waiting for them... it's not that hard.. it's called respect and making them feel welcome.
I don't think he's expecting a limo (although, some DJs do)
tiesto probably got a limo, but wanted a chopper...

Did he mention anything in this article about needing to buy a new hat every few months because of his rapidly expanding head ... err ego?
I wouldn't even trust Mixmag to watch a dog for 5 mins, let alone what they write.
