I heard it. Those songs I didn't know sound quite different from the 7 songs I'd known. I'll withold my comments and wait until you get the album.

well, i got the album, listened to all of it, and i agree with you man.
the style of his new tracks is alot different, pretty mellow, although i do like "loss of consiousness" and "hypnotic"
its weird to hear saxophone and stuff in his songs, i think they are all quality, just not the anthemic type of songs i was looking forward to.
life is a remix part 2 will be out soon, i wonder what that will be like

Thumbs up Put together well..

Alot of people usually seem to not understand the way an artist puts together there own self produced album. The point for an artists album is to show thier personalty the best that they can through thier music. Usually the tracks are not the same as they have alwayz been before. Especially if this is not the first album, artist alwayz like to try new things.

After listening to this album, I would just like to comment on this my own. The way the tracks are selected for this cd is just perfect, different style from the "ordinary" Taucher. Some ambient tracks as well as some of the usual taucher that every-1 is used to hearing. Yes, most of these tracks we have all heard before on complimations and as singles, but aside from those there are really some great well put together tracks. My favirotes would have to be Loss of Consiousness which is his new single now, it is an amazing track. The synth line kicks ass, reminds me much of "Science Fiction & Child Of The Universe" put together. All of the other tracks are good, but thats the one that sticks out the most. As for all the slow tracks, if you know taucher you know taucher is all for those.. He usually alwayz starts his sets off with ambient/calssical tracks.. Well, thats Taucher. All of the ambient tracks on here are great, smototh melody's and nice piano riffs. If I saw this cd in a store I would most likely be proned to pick it up for myself. Good work

Tracklisting is as follow's:

01. Moon over Atlantis ( feat. John Gentry Tennyson )
02. The Man from Cuba
03. No Need to Ask Baby
O4. Outside World
05. Brain Ticket
06. Cool Vibes
07. T-factory feat. Boris g.
08. Cascades
09. Hypnotic
10. Agromaster
11. Bizzare
12. Loss of Consiousness
13. Pictures of a Galery
14. Winterlove
15. Flssig
16. Child of the Universe
17. Science Fiction

yep, good call jayd. but i never said i didnt like it, i just said it was different. its good for producers to branch out and try new things. and "loss of consioussness" is a great track for sure. and the ambient tracks are going to make a wicked chillout album for me.

btw how come you posted the tracklist again? hehehe, anyway glad you like it.

those jazzy songs that have not been previously released sound more like his mixes in Sunshine Live, and some songs sound more like adult contemporary, don't'ya think?

Satan (eek!) Taucher: Life Is A Remix (Phase 2)

Out soon on double cd, Life Is A Remix (Phase 2), most (maybe all) of these remixes have been released on vinyl with the originals, explaining why i already have most of 'em. hehehe, anyway, i cant wait to have all these in full/unmixed versions in crisp cd quality

Santom- Sliced Consciousness

Cherrymoon Trax- The House of House

Lunatic Asylum- The Meltdown

Trance Allstars- The First Rebirth

VFR- Tranceillusion

Faithless- God is a DJ

Ayla- Ayla Part II

Quattra- The Truth

Trance Allstars- Ready to Flow

Blank&Jones- Flying to the Moon

DJ Sakin&Friends- Dragonfly

Culturebeat- Pay no mind

Robert Miles- Full Moon

Scooter- I'm Raving

Club de Hipica- Shoemaker Levi 9

Talla vs. Taucher- Together '99

ps. i figured it would probly be us three talking about this one too, so i put it in the same thread to save space.

hmmmm, i only have one sunshine live set, so im not too sure about that. but the more ambient ones sure surprised me, especially "man from cuba" and "no need to ask baby", which i didn't particularly like the fisrt time i heard them. but i decided i had to give them another chance and now i can't get enough, so nice to chill to. and some dont sound much like trance liek "cool vibes" (i think thats the one) but are still good. anyway, if you havent heard the songs that i just listed in the Life Is A Remix (Phase 2) post, they are a more familiar taucher style.

Posted by Atlantis on Sep-20-2001 05:00:

thanks for the tracklist! there are a few songs i don't know. do you know if and when the album will be released in the U.S?

Posted by .montecarlo. on Sep-20-2001 05:10:

no problem atlantis

ummm i'm not positive if life is a remix (phase 2) will be released in N.A. , but i highly suspect it will be , if not i'll buy it online. ya theres only 2 songs on there i havent heard yet, santom- sliced conciousness and club de hipica- shoemaker levi. all the rest are kick-ass tunes tho. cant wait to have the cds.

Ebbe n flut has been released in N.A. on cd as "high tide low tide", which is another reason i think we'll get l.i.a.r.2

the album was originally supposed to be released in like july, then aug, but they keep pushing it back. its finally up on the website saying "out soon!" so it shouldn't take too much longer.

funny how it spells liar, heh

ME needs info on how to get! (even if I dunno how old this thread is..) I mean when I saw names like Sunbeam (even if it right Trance allstars, it's Sunbeams trak The first Rebirth - awesome tune!), Faithless, Ayla, Miles, Blank&Jones, DJ Sakin, Scooter, and the last tune (which by the way rocks!) I was stunned! then I hit the reply button!

so, anyone could help? pls!!!

Posted by .montecarlo. on Oct-14-2001 06:07:

hypronix, there are 6 mixes of that soong (i think), one by each of the following: taucher, talla, dj mellow-d, atb, schiller, sunbeam (the trance allstars hehe)

good tune!

the album is not released yet, but there are vinyl rips of most of these songs, just do a search on ag and you'll find alot of them.

EDIT: i just checked his website and Life Is A Remix (Phase 2) is now released

thanx Insomn!
I know who the Trance Allstars are, I have the CD (kick-ass compilation!) yet I didn't know there were 6 mixes of the song... on my CD there is only Sunbeams...

thanx 4 the info on Life is a Remix, but it's more likely I'm gonna wait till I find it and DL it... I'll keep U posted if U R interested (and judging by your passion for Taucher, I guess U R !)

Hey, Grimreaper, I saw your post earlier, but your post disappeared because Swamper had to restore backups from yesterday.

Come join the club. There are only about 3 or 4 Taucher fans here.

Posted by GrimReaper on Nov-03-2001 08:23:

it's nice to be here. i have been a taucher fan for about seven years now. i think i have almost everything taucher has ever done now that i got also l.i.a.r. 2. it's an excellent album.

santom-sliced consciousness is a nice little acidic (not pure acid) trip with taucher's sweeping melodies floating in the background. it's a wonderful and storming track. i got liar 2 for two days ago from my friend who is working in record import company and bought ebbe & flut day before that.

taucher never seems to disappoint me with his albums.. always very different kind of tracks put into same album. my favorite tracks of liar 2 are santom-sliced consciousness and blank & jones-flying to the moon. on ebbe & flut i prefer winter love and the man from cuba.

Posted by Atlantis on Nov-03-2001 17:04:

I have a web site and it has a Taucher section. I've done an album section but I want to have a COMPLETE discography of Taucher's tracks. I'll probably work on it this weekend. I need you guys' help to check the accuracy when I finish it. You can check it here. TranceAtlantic

Posted by GrimReaper on Nov-03-2001 17:23:

very nice looking site you have there, man! keep up the good work.

Posted by .montecarlo. on Nov-07-2001 03:04:

hey grim reaper, like atlantis said, its nice to find another fan

unfortunatly, i still dont have life is a remix 2, although i have most of the songs already, just not in full/good quality rips. i will buy it as soon as i see it, but it takes a while for stuff to get here lol.

off liar2, i'd say my fave tracks are:

lunatic asylum- meltdown
faithless- god is a dj
robert miles- full moon
blank & jones- flying to the moon

but i like all the others too

i agree with you too, i like all taucher's albums, and almost all of his productions... i guess its just my style.

gotta jet for now,
insom

what tracks would u add/remove?

Posted by Atlantis on Nov-08-2001 17:00:

nice selection, grim reaper!

but, but you don't have "atlantis"! i have several diff. atlantis, and the one i like the best is from the world of trance (8:32).

btw, i just got life is a remix phase ii yesterday and put the song length on my taucher page so you can compare what you have and what's on the cd. if you are interested, pm me.

Posted by GrimReaper on Nov-08-2001 19:08:

i have all the productions of taucher since 93 and i must say (IMO) atlantis is good, but not good enough to manage to my album..
I had to put the cd-single version of Sliced Consciousness to my album, because the liar 2/12" version was too long to fit in. Do u need more track lengths to your Taucher page. I will help you on that if u like.

Posted by Atlantis on Nov-08-2001 19:25:

thanks! that would help a lot. some of the songs i got from napster and audiogalaxy don't have detailed ID tags, so i don't know which version i have. my goal is to buy all CDs like you do, but it's difficult to get some of his albums in the u.s.

Posted by GrimReaper on Nov-08-2001 19:35:

lol

it's even harder to get them here in finland, but i'm gald i have friends in germany so they have helped me to conclude my collection. i will send u some track details to your site e-mail. just wait...

Posted by .montecarlo. on Nov-15-2001 07:28:

heheh, i cant say that i would take off any of those songs, they all kick ass!!! , nice picks.

but, i noticed no bizarre or science fiction... i guess they dont really fit in too well with the other tracks, but definetly awsome tunes as well.
