Jones Jr Koed In 2nd

Mr.Showboy Loudmouth Roy Jones Jr just suffered the biggest loss of his career (from a guy who has rarely fought real tough people and mostly stiffs) took his second loss tonite. His only previous loss was a cheap shot to montell griffin....who he knocked out in the first round of the next fight.

Tarver lost the first fight by a judge's decision

anyway tarver wins the first round..pounding jones jr.

2nd round..jones jr misses this big punch..tarver goes to a crouch...he pops out of the crouch with a devasting left hook....night night roy...

end of fight

tarver champion and jones jr suffers his worst loss yet..lmao...crowd cheers

I was expecting it...not surprising like holyfield's KO of tyson or Sanders's KO of the russian guy or Douglas's KO of tyson in 1988.

end of an era imo.

Wow! That is a pretty surprising result, although i concede that i don't knwo much about boxing.

By the way, i think it was the light-heavyweight division (from memory)

If you ask me, it was set-up. Jones has said he's not interested in boxing much longer and has been approached by several networks to do analysis (Which will be a laugh since you can barely understand him).

So for this reason I think he was looking for his last big pay-off. As much as he enjoys his image, he loves his money exponentially more. Imagine the amount of money involved in a Tarver 2nd Round KO.

Tarver deserved to win the first fight so justice was done. Jones failed again to take him seriously. There is no doubt that roy Jones will go down as one of the greatest boxers in history, and it was a bit sad to see him go down in round 2. And saying it was a set up is absurd. if he had won this fight he wud of boxed Tyson or Klitchsko, a fight with either of these 2 wud of guranteed his biggest ever pay day.

but ne ways well done tarver.hope calzaghe gets a shot at him.

Win or lose, he's still planning to fight Tyson after his rematch with Tarver for his last fight before he retires. I don't think it will ever happen though, unless Tyson's camp can get things in order.

I was joking about the set-up, it's just the only thing I can figure with Jones getting KO'd in the 2nd round. Hard to go down in history as one of the best with a 2nd Round KO on your record, no matter everything else he's done.

Jones has fought a lot of hand picked stiffs tho. He is too scared to fight hopkins again (wuss) or a real decent fighter. I always knew tarver was a decent fighter.

Tarver battered him in the first fight and it was an absolute shock that the judges gave it to Jones jr. So this isnt a surprise at all
