Faithless

Anybody here into Faithless? Thought I'd post up since their new album is coming out in a bit (it's not out yet, so I didn't post this in new releases ).

Anyway, the single "Mass Destruction" is sweet so I can't wait

My fav's:
-Don't Leave
-Salva Mea
-God is a DJ
and of course, Insomnia

-Nick

I love em.. Have yet to see them live (saw a few concerts on TV though), can't wait for the new album to come out!

They are good. The whole of Reverence is quality esp Don't Leave and Insomnia

You are so missing out

Fav tracks lets see they change depending on the mood i am in:
Vocally- evergreen & Liontamer <3 Zoe
Lyrically- Killers lullaby

Others:
Take the long way home
Salva mea

And of course ferry's remix of why go

News which hasnt been confirmed yet, but sister bliss is thinking of pulling out as she no longer wants to tour ect, so this could possibly be their last tour, so if you havent seen them yet, you should

P.S- I love faithless

Just had a first listen to the new album (and yeah, it was an mp3 copy and yeah, I'm going to buy it anyway), and I must say I'm impressed once again, there are some true melodic stunners on it. Have to listen to it again a few times to be able to give a decent opinion, but the first listen is promising!

btw. I think the album version of Mass destruction is an improvement over the single version.

I seem to remember a track called Faithless - Tarantula that i used to like a few years ago.

That was quite good....

Yes, but they have almost nothing to do with the original, just using the vocal samples. Unfortunately we do not have a good long (like 9 mins ) original version, just the radio cut.

Faithless' two first albums are fucking great (tracks like insomnia and god is a dj). The third one totally sucks and the new track Mass Destruction doesn't sound too promising...

imo, Mass destruction is not really representative for the new album.. I was not really pleasantly surprised by this single either, but the album surprised me positively.. Quite a few melodic, spacy tracks, quite danceable. Will give it a second listen tomorrow.

And by the way, as I said before, I think the album version of Mass destruction is better than the single version.

Faithless - Drifting Away

is a good track...

Agreed. The Paradiso Mix is a personal classic for me.

I love Faithless. Insomnia is essentially the track that got me into dance music.

I saw them a couple of years ago when they toured for Outrospective. Amazing. Only saw the video for the new song the other day, thought it was ordinary.. but I have faith (no pun intended) in the album being good

Posted by Noctone on May-17-2004 16:20:

Yeah they're well good. My personal favorites are Reverence (such a good rap) and One Step Too Far. Drifting Away is also quality. I'll get the new album if I can afford it at the time.

That sucks to hear, I think they'd be awesome to see live. I think they're doing Homelands in the UK this year??? I think I should buy a plane ticket .

me 2. that and hearing salva mea on the reverence album. dont think ive ever cained a album as much as i did that 1

Just gotta say it again, they are by far the best live band i have seen. I think once you see them live you get more of an understanding of what they are about, who would of thought sudha plays the bongo drums

Anyways for anyone that is interested
heres the mass destruction cover, the style is very similar to the cover of outrospective

I like it.. Not that the cover is of too much importance to me, but still, I like it..

Unfortunately we have to wait a few more weeks until it's available.. But well.. Nothing I can do about it

Insomnia (Monster Mix), We Come 1 and Take The Long Way Home are some of my all-time favourites.
However I never did like God Is A Dj. The Astral Projection Mix is way better then the original

CANT WAIT for their new album and im going to see them at homelands on the 29th may

Posted by diffusion on May-19-2004 01:42:

Great, I love em as well:

- Muhammad Ali
- Don't Leave
- Salva Mea
- God is a DJ
- Insomnia
- We Come 1

not mass destruction, checked all the remixes, didn't like it that much. It doesn't even make people happy at parties either...

Sometimes they are trying to hard to be special, but mostly, they're okay...

retail June, 7th
No Roots...

Posted by Stanza on May-19-2004 11:01:

Probably We Come One and Salva Mea

Why Go? (Lange Remix) was the best remix by far. Absolute quality trance from the '99 era
