EM pres. Estuary - Solace (Original Mix) [Full]
This is something i started a few months ago but finished it today due to exams and stuff. Anyway, this is slightly different, and its very special to me
, pretty mellow and chilly. I hope you'll like it. Any comments are welcomed!

Estuary - Solace (Original Mix)
yo
to much low in the bass..the whole mix is filled with low/mid
liking the buildup alot.
break is good!
climax typical EM, but the bass screwing its eating the whole mix.

! Damn
i wanted the bass to be pumpy, i need to reduce the low i guess.
Bass' mid is in the way, i think you got to cut some sounds from the mud area (500hz).. low cut or maybe notch? but you got to look at that for your own, don't know exactly.
Nice fx, all is sounding full.
I hear some ticks in the break
Yeh nice ahh-pads going on.
Percussion lack presence i guess, it's all a bit muddy, as I mentioned. Try to play with the EQ more. Nice work apart from that!
It's definitely not the low end that's too muddy but rather the 300-500 range that could use some cutting. The kick doesn't really stick out too much in the mix either, and could use a little more punch and oomppf. Pads are quite nice, I like the melody and feel of the track, and by cleaning up the kick and bassline I think this could be excellent.
WOW, how did i miss this
this is INTENSE bass+beat+everything!!!!
im listening to it on my home theatre speakers and its fucking loud and nice!!!!
very emotional melody, i LOVE the background fx throughout the song and the breakbeat part, really quality, this is what u call trance
some twinkling, voices, quality beats, piano...
by far the best work u did, BY FAR!!
excellent work, and congrats
, keep it up
PS: the kick is fine good
Whoah, I'm speechless.

Thanks guys for the nice and constructive comments!
yes im working on the bass and kick +eqing the perc abit more
. will post something fresh in a few days. Anybody else till then?
Ron you can fault the kick uh?
Comments as I listen...
OK great start... the bass sounds really full and jumpy which is good but as some of the guys here already mantioned there are abit to much low-mid freqs... makes the mix sound abit blurry at times, needs some re EQing.
Great use of effects, loved the little faded vocal. and thoes little stabs with the delay are really cool.
Here comes the break, great pads... though i think the whole sound isnt clear enough, needs some more high freqs.
Lovly melody like always. The breakbeat part seems abit empty, try adding some more percussive elements, make it more vriable.
Over all this tune is really good, very chilled and laid back...
Just work abit more on the mastering, espacially the EQing of the mix.
Keep up the good work!
w00t, hear the sample of this one before, and you already know what i think of it, fuckin brilliant, i really like it. this is the kind of trance that makes me remember why i fell in love with it, great job
im really liking the breakdown =), awesome stuff, we can chat later on msn about it =)

sounds good, i like the break
Thanks Daniel !
cool effects at start... bass is great
atmospheric phasing pad things work really well...
all the little subtle fx and pads and stuff sound really good... effort is good and you've certainly showed this... uplifting breakdown.. nice dolphin type sounds... beat comes in a bit suddenly... in that the orchestration didnt really indicate it would come in.. maybe a quick snare roll or something token like that... but after this it sounds great...
i enjoyed this track although there was no real hook to it... it's the kinda track i'd open a set with... nothing that stands out in it but all of it together creates a real uplifting feel...
last thing... face the end out as the last sample kinda thing just stops...
so well done mate, great summery type track!
Cheers

General production/arrangement etc are fine, though the vocal thats used in the breakdown could be a tad louder. However, the master seems a bit harsh. The mid range is crammed tight through out the tune, with only a little breathing space during the breakdown, but not much! It gets a bit harsh on the ears by the end of he tune.
Hey man!
Very Strong kick to start with, always a good thing. The bass is good, but i agree with what every1 else has said, the bass does sound like it has a bit too much low. Im not the biggest fan of those FX, but the piano is a nice touch! Breakdown is nice, quior sounds mint, and the strings are great, aswell as the breakdown lead. Overall a nice uplifting trance track, it peaks really well, i was half expecting a huge stabbing riff to come in, but it does sound better as it is!
nice tune
alex
Thanks guys!
Yes i mastered it twice, it sounded abit muddy so i had to.
Thanks again for the comments.
