Vault is to dnb what ATRC is to trance. Way overplayed but still a goodie. Pendulum and Concord Dawn are the producers of the moment.

vault is an amazing song that takes itself into diffrent places in one peice. Its very good, but its overated. Personaly i think their newer stuff is alot better then vault... Another Planet / Voyager, 12" (Breakbeat Kaos)

Mourning Light was like at the top of my playlist for weeks. The problem with Concord Dawn is its the cheese of the drum and bass world. but i still like it.

their remix of Fresh-Submarines sucks though. the original is my original dnb track ever.

sure it's cheese. but this is a trance site, we're supposed to like cheese.

sounds like there is a whole world of trance you have yet to discover... My only argument is how can drum and bass be cheese??? its hard, attacking, aggressive beats, well the stuff concord dawn makes is anyway. but whatever, i guess every genre has its cheese. personaly out of drum and bass i like the more jazzy, smooth stuff like high contrast.

well youll just have to define cheese.. if cheese=a song that could easily gain popularity then I can definatelly name a few:

D.Kay&Epsilon - Barcelona
Puretone - Addicted to bass

its not like neither of them is a bad track, but they just tend to be popular in the wider audiences

No no, I don't think there's any trance I have yet to discover. I've been in this game for way too long now. when I say 'cheese' I don't mean anything negative with the term. For me cheese can be great (Gouda) or it can be horrible and cheap (Kraft). For me all trance is cheese one way or the other because it lacks funk or deep soulfulness. And that's what I love about it.

If we're going to talk about cheese in dnb though, the main man would have to be Dillinja and the whole wobble/clownstep tech-step movement. It's a lot of fun, and it can be fine British cheese, but most of the time the circus clown melodies are ridiculous, as exemplified by the quintessential tune TWIST EM OUT.

disagree.

yes recently dillinja has gone downhill and made sum shocking tunes such as Fast Car, but sum of Dillinjas earlier work was quite heavy. He had quite a good sound goin on for those who like Dnb quite Dirty.

Dillinja - Tear Down Da Whole Place
Dillinja - Fluid
J Magik - Love Is Not A Game (Dillinja Mix) 2nd drop is d-d-d-danger
+ many more
Dillinja - Forsaken Dreams << a recent tune, havent heard but apparently pretty good

Also Where Can i get This Pendulum set?

and you disagree with what?

I love Dillinja and his raw style, but everyone knows that Twist 'em out is the emblematic symbol of clownstep. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

i agree with you, dillinja is teh cheese. but i dont think all trance is cheese. yes it lacks soul, or funk, but it basicaly comes down to what do you define cheese as... cheers.
