The "pretend you are the leader of your political party of choice" thread
Ok so everyone is saying vote this and vote that yet nobody has told us why we should other than the conservative supporters.
Pretend ypu are the leader of the federal political party of your choice and tell us why you think we should vote for your party.
the only rule is that your initial post cannot use mudslinging against the other parties. Your first post has to be 100% positive in favour of your party and not about what "the other guys are doing"
stop making new threads... god, the last thing we need is a ton of flame wars.
SHUT UP... STOP YOUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

that link you presented looks like a US politics room to me... i dont think anyone in there would actually get what we are talking about here..
as for addressing your thread... go check the elections thread..
the point of this thread was meant to be an excersize in explanation of why you think people should vote. A way to help those who may be ignorant to what is going on right now.

since this is the general toronto discussion thread...
and since this is a very political time right now (a record tax hike budget and a looming federal election) i find this all to be completely appropriate.
Politics should be public domain and exposed to everyone and not just shoved in some cubby hole somewhere as this affects EVERYONE

BAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA

.. first you were complaining about the party scene in TO , and now you've moved onto complaining about politics..
makes me wonder why you choose to live here..
do you ever juss chill and hav a good time .. ?
YES!
ALWAYS!! just not on messageboards...
I use these as my debate medium since i dont go to school anymore and debating at work wouldnt be wise

You should vote for me because i'll steal your money and use it to buy big houses, fast cars and beautiful women. Which is exactly what all the others will do but hey, at least i'm being honest about it!
Nice... dont forget the fast women!
I honestly don't know...I'm rather disillusioned with McGuinty (who got my vote) although this clearly isn't ALL his fault thanks to the mess with which the outgoing conservatives left us...I honestly didn't find Harris as bad as everyone else (from purely a selfish standpoint), but Eves was less than inspiring. I can't simply cannot fathom an NDP return to power.
I'm lost for provincial politics right now...it's one big mess...all I know is that we *need* to keep the new Conservative party out of power in the federal election. I shudder to think of how they might turn back the clock 50 years on our LIBERAL, open minded, tolerant society
Harper is a *freak*.
