Oakenfold at Space this Saturday?
didn't see any threads about it...he's gonna be there right? what's the cover charge when a big DJ is there, i forget. i haven't been to space for a while. i don't like the club at all, but i'll make a special trip for oakey.
(yawn) okie? no not gonna see me there. and if this is true, expect to pay out the ass at the door. id say at least $30 or $40 cover. maybe more. Oakenfold definitly is not what he used to be.
i've always liked his style. he rolls with the punches and explores all genres, and i'm always right there with him when he flips it up again.
i love all the nu school breaks he plays lately...especially remixed retroish styles like depeche mode and new order tracks...
~$25 presale tickets @ groovetickets.com
i am uncertain wether i will be there or not.

ya know it
i was at a house party this past weekend and i brought a hip hop cd i put together and "Two Dope Boyz in a Cadillac" was on it, and this ex minnesota vikings player (huge black dude) was there and gave me a funny look when i knew all the words
i loved aquemini too, but i feel like they've gone a little down hill after that album. they're not as southern ghetto as they used to be, they're more popish and even technoish.
thanks for the info arturo, as always
uhhhhhhhhh yeah i wont be goin........ goin to see frankie knuckles at nerve
This shit is going down tonight, I wonder if anyone is actually gonna go. When I got my Space email invite, the Flash video was actually pretty cool....altho that pic of Oakie screaming makes him look like a bitch.
And I think that's what he's yelling...."What the fuck!?"

hey i agree. im listening to trance 99% of the time, but i just gotta show love for the old skool Outkast. new hip hop IS crap, but Andre and Big Boi used to be lyrical genious'. the little time I do spend listening to rap, i listen to Kast. so dont hate the playa, hate the game.
hahaha, yep!
respect for musical talent in any genre

...obviously not by choice. My sister likes country music and was in town visiting for her baby shower we threw, so I sort of had to go with her and her friends. I dragged my bf along with me, and we stayed for about 2 hours. Then we split and got in the car and we were like, "Well, should we drive all the way to Miami for Oakenfold"? It took about 2 seconds to come up with that answer
So off we went. Got there for the last 45 min or so of Hernans set (AWESOME), and then Oakenfold completely blew the crowd away. I was totally sober and danced my butt off the entire time I was there. I was just so high on his music and watching everyone go nuts. We had to leave early though because I had to meet my family for breakfast early the next morning and my feet were killing me from dancing. I wish we would have stayed longer. It was seriously one of the best club nights Ive had in a really long time...and I go to south beach like every other weekend too, but this night was just special
Yeah Oakenfold tore it up, i was there for some of his set, but i was banging this girl i been seeing in VIP, dam it was good!!!
