where is the backing of a nation?
FLAMES ARE GOING TO THE CUP!
For the first time in 10 years, a Canadian team is a contender in the Stanley Cup finals. They should have a nation to back them. Seeing as they are the only CANADIAN team left for the past round as well, you would think that all Canadian hockey fans would be rooting for the Flames, but I havent seen much of it from our fellow nucks out east.
The hockey season didnt end when the leafs lost (again)
SO come to the Western Canada Forum(or Canada forum sticky thread) and cheer on CANADAS TEAM.
and to Emery, whos DESERVING now? Are they WORTHY?
knocking off each division finalist? 6th seed going to the finals.
HARDEST WORKING TEAM AROUND.
Game 1 on Tuesday, dont know where yet...Flames dont have home ice, but that doesnt matter to them. They win no matter what arena they are in.

4 wins at home
and
4 wins away from bringing the cup home.

well I cheer for any canadian team that is left
even tho im sure most people from canada (outside of ontario) would be cheering AGAINST Toronto if we were the only team left...

They've been the team ive been cheering for from the West the whole time. And believe it or not, ive picked them to win every series they've played in (yes even Detroit). I have it to be a Calgary/Philly final in my pool, but its lookin more and more like Tampa will be in there instead of the Flyers.

well i'm rooting for the flames but not because they're canadian based, because they're the under dogs and have a hard working team...i think most people still see the flames as representing calgary and not canada....
there's so many canadian players throughout the league i don't think people get overly excitied as to whether a canadian based team in in the finals or not....canadians are well represented regardless of what city they play out of...gawd knows if the senators or canadains were still playing i wouldn't be cheering for them,lol...
