Im glad I met some new TAs!
Alec, Ace, JOhn h20 whats up guys!!! NIce meeting you.
Seems like the trance peeps liked it. Imo it was very cheesy and badly mixed BUT it was a great party.
Such a shame that so many peeps disappeared after Johan's set.
Marco G was Peurf once again. But maybe not the best dj to put after a trance act.
But anyways, Thanx Marco G. for playing cause you made the night great for me...

OMG!!!!!
It was an amazing night. Everytime I get to hear Trance at Aria I remember why I love Trance more than Techno and House. I didn't think it was very packed, I guess I'd say the club was at a comfortable amount of people. Props to Chantel for dancing like crazy with a cast and sling on. My legs were so dead at 8pm, I tried to force myself to dance and stayed until the end as usual. Gielen was really good My friends also complained about him mixing poorly a couple times but I didn't notice it .
Thanks to Louis for being the cool guy he is , it woulda been nice if Malek were there but he's in T.O.
BTW Louis when you said you'd come back in 10 minutes and bring me to all the TA people in the middle, you never came back o>_
... some guy named Matthew came up to me and said he knew me from a long time ago, I asked him from what and he said it wasn't important. If any of you were him, please tell me .
I also saw Zing but he walked past me before I could say hello.

MAD PROPS TO RAOULS PARKING CAPABILITIES!!! MAD PROPS!
Highlights of the night:
#1) Rauls amazing parking job!
#2) Johan playing Esperanza without me requesting it!
#3)Getting Johan to sign some vinyls and then out of the lots he pulls out Destination Sunshine and drops it!
#4)Seeing the top half of a truck smashed in that didn't quite clear the bridge it was trying to go under!
#5)Arguing with the "guys" about Carl Cox and Armin Van Buuren.
#6)Drinking Vodka in Rauls Sport Ut, just like the good ol days with Malek in the Taurus!
#7)The girls in line at Central station!

Johan Gielen was mixing perfectly.
He didn't miss a mix.
But he's mixing style is ''open'' that means that the channel of the up-coming track is always open and he's starting the track so sometimes you have to play with the record to put it on the beat perfectly. But Johan was mixing really well.
He likes to sample the beat of the song and then toss it in open like you said JF, its a bit different, but that's his style for the most part these days, its not that easy to do and to get it perfectly on. He does have good skillz for a trance dj I'll grant him that!
hehe, I had a blast yesterday ! I'm surprised I lasted though, cuz I was really drunk !
Btw, those smoke machines get annoying after a while , I can barely breathe when they kick in lol.

I don't understand how a known dj like this can mix like shit.
I hope its because he's deaf or tired from previous nights.

Like Zing said last night, he's mixing like MC Mario, playing mixes made out of sample of tracks. He did that alot I think.

armin's mixing skills are very leet.. ferry corsten's mixing skills are leet too... Johan Gielen's skills are below average... same goes for tiesto.. i cant believe he released all those MixCds when 90% of the mixes are offbeat :|
Yeah, I also noticed that Gielen mixes too early. That is a pet peeve of mine. It really takes away from the flow because the incoming track and outgoing track have too much going on and just makes for a lot of noise. And I also hate how he throws the track in at 50% volume...even though he was perfectly beatmatched, the mixes still sounded really bad.
Ah well, Wicked tunes and average mixing always wins over wicked mixing and average tunes. Dont think theres any argument with that.
mixing trance doesnt require that much skills

about what was said armin & ferry skillz...
they know how to beatmatch...
you could teach a monkey how to do that
