yea exactly what i was tellin my friend. they're gonna be playing mostly trance, house, breaks, etc and they dont need a scratch mixer. when they told me, i immediately told them to get the xone and if they want effects get the pioneer efx thing (forgot the name) anyways. ill try to convince them.
effects are overrated, they are fun and sound cool, but you dont by any means need them to spin a good set. us kids immediatley gravitate towards them cuz they are extremely easy to use(not to use them well) and seem to satisfy, but they are still overrated
That mixer is really expensive...that money can definetly be used to buy a better mixer. If he really wants pioneer, at least go with the DJM-600.
see im gettin a xone 92, but i was wonderin if the 909 would be better than the 600, they claim the 909 has the fully most customizeable crossfader curve, and i think its non touch or somethin, but then again, this is trance, so y would i give a shit... i still though dont get the p&g crossfader but no p&g for the vca sliders, i mean if the 92s a trance mixer (so to speak)whod give a shit about a p&g crossfader... i just dont get that, i feel its almost like a scheme to get more money.... oh well, my decisions uneffected by it
sorry for that rant i lost it for a second
if you want just those effects panels, i'd hang out for pio to release a new fx unit. They would develope that just for one mixer, a small part of their market. There will be a new fx box not too far away i'm sure
I just got a DJM600 and I love it!
