Reason devices as hardware?

What I really wanna know for long is, if the devices used in Propellerheads Reason are also available as hardware.

I've got a book about Reason and there is the subtractor as an hardware synth on the cover. Is this a fake?

Yes it is fake.

It's a pitty. I would really love to have an subtractor as a hardware device.

Are there any devices like the phatboy for REBIRTH, I can connect to REASON for controlling the modulators and controllers with hardware?

You can use a fatboy controller with soubtractor if you want, or any other midi controller for that matter.

Vsti software companies often make 3d renders of their synths, as promotional material, because they look cool, and give you an idea of what it would look like if it were hardware. It would be an extrordinary event if a software only company released hardware, considering everyone (well many people) in the music industry are backing off of hardware, and touting software as the only way to go in the future. While this may or may not be true (not relevant to this thread) It is how things seem to be going...
