How can i get my Girl friend to play video games?
I really wished my gf would play video games with me.You know something i enjoy doing.I mean i do shit for her like going shopping with her which i totally hate.Some times i get her to play but for sbout small amount of time.She likes playing Animal Crossing on my game Cube which i guess its a start.
Any ideas on how to get her to play.Girls help me out too
I'd say no shopping no video games but you would be in the doghouse for that...
My girlfriend can beat the snot out of me un UT2k4 deathmatch. It's not as fun as you might think. 
And no... I'm not joking. She regularly pwns the other guys in my dorm who play. It's sickening, really.
Give her a Barbie or Mary Kate and Ashley game for her birthday.
P.S. Prepare for the worst.

I would imagine the best way is to mention it to her like anything else you would mention to her that bothers you. Talking about it is the easiest/best way to handle it. Explain her to that you enjoy it and want to share in enjoying it with her. Don't make threats or ultimatums. Just explain to her that you take part in what she enjoys and you would appreciate it if she did the same.
Also, ask her what kind of games does she like. If she doesn't know, test out a few different kinds until she and you find out.

and sometimes watches me play couter-strike (even though i think she pretends to like it)
I recommend puzzle games, a lot of girls can enjoy that type of game.
haha, great thread. i am one of the rare women who plays video games more than most men. I own just about every console made, from atari to sega saturn. guys tell my husband he lucked out, but he usually just gets pissed because i'm better than him. hehe. anyway, start your girlfriend on some adventure games. can't go wrong there. i assume you have a ps2, gamecube, or xbox. some sure fire ones that she will enjoy are:
-Ratchet and Clank 1 & 2
-Jak and Dakster
Also, just sit her in front of the tv with vice city and i'm sure she won't put the damn thing down. Hmm, what else...any of the resident evils, unless she gets scared easy. Maybe she'd enjoy the fighting games like Dead or Alive, Soul Caliber, or Super Smash bros melee. try metroid prime....that's a classic. if you want something to play together and enjoy, play mariokart or better yet play quake or halo on teams together.
other than that, just give us some more info on your gf. does she scare easy?

get some decent platform games, the kind of thing that can be fun without playing very often. ape escape was a good example.
and multi-player kids games, mario kart, poy poy. DDR is a fun way in. get her into those sorts of things, soon enough she'll go looking at what other games you have.
Best idea: Get an NES. Buy some old games - Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt (with the orange guns), Contra...
She'll love them.
