On the subject of old TV programs does anyone remember that show where a guy flew around in a helicopter and shot at people???

Posted by j_spot on Sep-25-2001 16:06:

WHAT? was it a cartoon? or a real show?

Posted by Fundamental on Sep-25-2001 16:26:

Talking

I'll explain further...

It was a game show where two contestants was 8 miles apart. They each had a backpack, one of which contained 10,000 (or something). They had to reach each other in, like, 2 hours...

And this guy flew around in a helicopter shooting at the backpacks with a wrist-mounted laser thingy, and if he hit the backpack it would lock.

Once the contestants reached each other they would open the backpacks (if they hadn't been locked) and if they open up, then they get the money.

Someone MUST remember this...

sorry to tell ya, but I dont think that show ever made it to North America, or @ least not to Canada. Well, maybe it did, but I never watched it cuz I was too young.

sorry bout this, cuz I cant help ya

That sounds familer. Who was it in the helicopter?

I was more of a Knightmare guy myself though (where the kids walked around the VR rooms with a helmet saying "Where am I? And their mates in the studio were like "You're in a room with three doors and a goose...."). Top stuff.

Ha ha! I remember that too! And they look into a mirror to look into someone's conversation, and then the little kids shit themselves whenever the man notices! Ha ha!
