where does it say he'll be here at the end of june? on defstars website it says: a great Calgary DJ event in June (a first time visit for Calgary)

ya just got an email respose from defstar, and they confired the June 27th date. And the show will be @ Tantra. Not the best location, but it still is oakenfold none the less...kick ass

Oakenfold isn't really someone that I'm into, but I'm heading down to Calgary for the show because I think that it would be a great show..

When are tickets on sale? How much?
edit: I phoned underground and they dont have them yet. Defstar said they would go on sale yesterday but where else could i get them.
That would be awesome. One of the first trance CDs I got was one of Oakenfold's. I'll strongly consider going down to Calgary. The only club I have heard of from there is the Whiskey. How does this other place compare??
half the capacity of the whiskey, tiny dance floor, there will be enough room to bob your head back and forth though
its sad that calgarians are so hyped yet vancouverites are so "meh" about oakenfold. you guys are lucky you get to see him in a club though!
oakenfold hasnt done anything in the last 5 years to get hyped about
I went to the Roger Sanchez show at Tantra and I didn't mind Tantra as a venue at all. The sound in there was way better than The Whiskey and the overall feel was great. Everyone in one congruent area with overhangers on the second level and the DJ in your face. I know space will be a premium but it usually is at the Whiskey as well. As the capacity is capped at 600, I'll cross my fingers that this prevents the "fire code violation" packed atmosphere.

2000 was still a killer year for him... but you are right... in the last while he done nothing that even peaks my interest... 
Only 600 tickets are being sold. Not sure what the capacity of Tantra is, but I hope it's not too packed.
