OK I'm gonna post a link to the first effort of a tune that I've made, using Reason 2.5. Don't expect to be blown away because for a start, I've only been producing for maybe 3 weeks at most, and I've not got good quality monitors or a keyboard or anything like that, but if you guys could take a listen and tell me what you think, how it could be improved, any useful tips/hints, it would be appreciated

So... My page, go to 'music' and listen to Roll Up, should be the only tune there

Your bass is ok for a first time, seems you put alot of time and effort on that part..

the rest, well as you said, it's your first production.

your kick needs more volume and frequencies, it sounds not dominating, did you check the mixer? if the kick level is the highest?

it seems the low pitched lead is highest in the mix.

your perc are to raw, they need, reverb delay? eq? something to make them more allive if you get what i mean, they just sound placed samples..

the Strings, they lack attack and release and reverb..and i think you tried to make your own patch? should expermint with the fullstring and sonderstring patches in the soundbank..they great!
