Evolving... - thievery corporation - more refined?
It would seem like...
Hmm
I just got into Thievery Corporation, with it's loungy rich great sound, like a thick good Cuban cigar (try one if you haven't)

Another amazing group is The Herbaliser... Very similar to Thievery Corporation, makes more sence than listening to beat-frenzy and some sour synth riffs.
And then there was house... It seems that I've completely dumped trance for more delicate genres that I completyely despised in the old days(of 2000, 2001
).
What interests me nowadays is more loungy stuff, house, acid jazz and other forms of electronica(like the wonders of psy: Shpongle, for example).
The radio-trash avb and his likes spins nowadays just doesn't apply to me anymore...
Am I getting older? Have you had the same experience as me?
Anyways check out Thievery Corporation's website, and listen to some of their music - do like I did - get mesmerized.
I would particularly recommend "Lebanese Blonde" from "The Mirror Conspiracy" and "Richest Man In Babylon" from "Richest Man In Babylon" - originally enough
Songs can be previewed on their website:

man, thievery corp is fantastic. check out sounds from the verve- one of my favorite albums.
make sure to check out kruder & dorfmeister too, especially their LP 'conversions'
yeah, my tastes have progressed too, but i think it has been more a matter of the epic trance scene taking a nosedive after oakey's reign on the scene ended... though 2002 van dyk was pretty sweet...
also, it is true to some extent that epic is for the kiddies, and prog and house is for adults... just look at the crowd at sasha vs a crowd at van dyk.
