Cherry Beach parties return

This Sunday, May 30

Promise Cherry Beach Sunday Afternoon Soundsystem

Bring a frisbee, bring a kite, bring a handy sweater, bring a dog (only nice dogs), bring your lover and a hammock. And pass the time on this lazy sunny sunday afternoon with friends and friends of friends.

Due to the nice weather we have been having, we start up our Cherry beach parties earlier this year - and in a different area of the park. Our traditional spot has had much the charm taken out of it by �improvements� involving the new ferry terminal, so this year we explore another sweet spot to the east of the area, down the bike path past the eastern parking lot and up to your left into the woods. You will hear the music�

Take Lakeshore Blvd East of Toronto, just past Parliament

Turn sound south down Cherry Street all the way to the parking lot at the end and go east into the parking lot at your left.

At the furthest east of the parking lot, walk along the bike path, then turn left up into the trail into the woods�you'll hear music. If you end up at the lake, you are going the wrong way.

Biking to Cherry Beach is easy along the trails beside the lakeshore, and there seems to be a new bus service that goes all the way down to the beach finally � the Pape 725, probably from Pape Station.

things to think about:

Please don't bring more than you plan to take back out with you - leave no trace.

Bring something warm and something to sit on and also something to keep sun off your head
