Ace Da Brain - Tales of Dusk and Dawn (Ace's Delight Sunrise Mix)----------> The best

I thought this song deserved more recognition in this forum.

Very seldom do songs make my heart race and almost bring tears to my eyes, but this song did far more. I couldnt beleive how epic and euphoric this intrumental inspired tune is.

I advise everyone to hear this if they can...its truly a masterpiece.

I think it may be my favourite all time song, replacing Jose Amnesia's - The Eternal

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK

WOW! I hadnt heard this song before, but I downloaded the sample and its quite impressive

Posted by Wretched on May-29-2004 05:14:

I hadn't heard it before either, but you're right, it's amazing..

I kinda wish it didn't kick into a real trance tune and just stayed chillout, though.

*Bump*

I can't wait till this tune is released, the sample sounds very promising. I have a feeling this tune could be my tune of the year

By the way, Andreas Schmidt is releasing a mini-album, called 'Sublime', soon. The following tracks will be on it :
- Ace's Delight - Mental Theme (Both mixes)
- Pervading Call - Destiny (Ace's Delight mix)
- Ace Da Brain - Tales of Dusk and Dawn (Both mixes)
Keep an eye on http://www.acedabrain.de for more info.

I just heard it and I'm speechless. I agree with Cyrus King

Agreed, a-side is just another rehash of the same old piano/3 minute breakdown we've had for 2 releases now. Disppointing. The flip however is really good, really dark and with loads of punch.

If this is your all-time favourite song you should be locked in a room for a week and forced to listen to music of my choosing.

Isn't that a gem again?!!! There was another topic about this song before but it's gone. However, I heared the release was delayed to begin of june... does anyone know when exactly?

Imo the sunrise mix is the better one, so clear and warm! But what did I read here?

What kind of comment is this? The so called 3 min piano breakdown is the typical Ace's Delight - style and thats why I and I assume others too love this. I don't think that one can reinvent the wheel. It's just a matter of combining the instruments and inventing new melodies and this guy is definately a hardcore pro in his genre as we can hear here again!

Thx for the info about the mini album CygnusX! That was a precious one to me

Ace's Delight Sunrise Mix
tune of the the year for sure.

Posted by Tranc3 on Jun-02-2004 05:18:

It's decent, nothing special

Posted by Cyrus King on Jun-02-2004 05:46:

this song is the best

Thats all i can say. Its what Trance is really about, true euphoria.

The bass is perfect, the synths are mind blowing, the piano is beautiful, its a master piece.

It's called criticism. Get used to it.

No, but you could at least try something new for your alias instead of milking the same formula for three productions straight, esp when it's something as overused as the whole piano break-thing. If this is what trance is truly about then I fear trance has sunken even lower than I had thought at first.

The 3 productions differ a lot in my opinion. The piano break is the only common element and like GAisLAME said, it's what the Ace's Delight sound is all about. I can name a lot of producers that had three productions with a common element/formula in a row.

Hardly. Mental Theme worked cos it actually had some subtlety, but even there you could already trace the blueprinted epic piano breakdown/in your face lead formula that Andreas has used on all three Ace's Delight productions so far. It works, but on the third release I'm getting pretty damn sick of it. If he had varied the Ace's Delight alias a bit more I wouldn't mind seeing him return to the good ol Mental Theme-formula, but after three times in a row it's getting very tired.

Now, I'm willing to cut him some slack considering all the good stuff he's capable of, but he really ought to start experimenting more soon. How bout a new Baced production or some more harder trance like he used to do with Marc La Cruz?

Posted by GAisLAME on Jun-03-2004 01:07:

To enforce the situation: I'm sure he will soon write some harder productions aswell. I read the interview on i:vibes and there he said that harder projects are sure to come.
But atm I'm more than satisfied with the releases he puts out since I love the Ace's Delight style. There's a poll on

http://www.dtf-productions.com/boar...hread.php?t=149

and a thread @

http://www.dtf-productions.com/boar...hread.php?t=136

Seems as if they have the same arguing. Some say it's the record of the year, some that the record is average. Well let's see what happens to it at last.

Actually the radio rip is a mislabel. The album's title is "Tales Of Dusk and Dawn" and the tune itself is called Sunrise. There are two mixes. The Ace's Delight Mix (which is mislabeled as Ace's Delight Sunrise Mix) and the Ace Da Brain Mix
