Start Me Up - work in progress

hey peoples,

been working on this track for the past 5 days, it's just about done, but still has to be "finished". i'm still using the onboard soundcard (pathetic, i know), but i'm researching for a better one. first time i've used synths and actually had a proper beat, needs more background sounds and maybe a slightly different buildup, but i'm not the judge here. tell me what u think, pls, any feedback would be appreciated. thx

Unfortunatly I could only listen to the lo-fi version, the hi-fi kept re-buffering and never started.

The melody is good, could use some effect to broaden it, reverb or/and chorus. Maybe have some variations of the lead, layering it with a delay, going higher octaves, additional notes etc.

The first breakdown comes abit sudden, for example, have a buildup of rolling bassdrums to let the listener know that a break is coming.

B----B----B---B--B--B--B--B-B-B-B-BBBBBBBB or something in those lines

Perhaps you could lower the clap abit. Its taking up to much of the soundspace.

The beat could use some work, both in how its arranged and with their individual sounds, EQ-ing, reverb and such things.

Its not a bad song, but it could use some fatness to the lead, stronger pads and various effects enhance the dimensions of the track.
