Science & Trance

For no reason whatsoever, lets make a list of tracks that have something to do with either Physics, Chemistry or Biology. Give an explanation too, to please me.

Mark Dawn - Random Walk (Thermodynamics term)
Hydra - Affinity (Electron affinity from Quantum Mechanics)
Chris Liebing - String Theory (Sub atomic Physics)

Add to the list and give an explanation.

"It's like she's cast a spell. I wish I knew how to break it."

Wait that's witchcraft not science.

love that song; Thomas Dolby r0x0rs!

Sarah McLachlan - Fear (Hybrid's Super Collider Mix)

In this instance I believe "super collider" is referring to:

http://www.audiosynth.com/

But as for non-audio science, a supercollider is a high-energy particle accelerator.

Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space
Refers to exploring the scientific side of space and time

DJ Cor Fijneman ft. Jan Johnston - Venus (meant to be your lover)
This refers the to cosmic stars/planets controling our destiny and fates.

Motorcycle - As the Rush comes
From rumors I have heard this track was come about by someone who approached G&D while she was on XTC, as the rush or peak of her night was hitting, or something along those lines, and seeing how XTC is a chemically created drug, it has relevance to this thread.

Armin Van Buuren - Astronauts
Kinda self explanatory, isn't it? LOL

Cosmic Gate - Human Beings
Defining the pure existence of human beings and how wonderful we can truely be if all else is pushed aside. ( i have no idea what I am talking about)

Dumonde - Human
Love, Hate, Courage, Fear, Jealousy, Pride, Addiction, Dispare, Joy, Pain, Compansion, Fate, Conviction, Hate..... Human. All of the chemically and biologically controlled emotions that we as Humans feel, and how all of these emotions and mindsets make us what we are, Human.

EDIT: Feel free to help me if I missed out or am TOTALLY off base on any of these...

Also, the TATA box is a small, conserved region of DNA that serves as a promoter for transcription in prokaryotes. A TATA box inhibitor would thus bind to this site and prevent transcription.

There are several early Umek tracks named after amino acids (phenylalinine, serine, cysteine, etc.) either verbatim or in slightly modified form. More to come if I think of them.

this really isn't discussing music, should be in COR or something. sick to death of filtering through heards of crap to find decent conversations on music.
