-- a fond farewell to my vancouver friends :(
a fond farewell to my vancouver friends :(
although this is a month away, i thought i'd post now, since i actually have the time and the next month is going to be crazy.
as i mentioned in the tiesto thread, i am moving by july 1, down to seattle. i finally graduate on june 12th after 5 years of attending WWU across the border, and need to move back to where i love (the city!!) and where the computer jobs are.
i am so, so glad i am leaving bellingham... i abhor being here and it kicks ass that i'm leaving. but i also am leaving something i will miss terribly behind ... my TA vancouver buddies.
seriously guys, i know it sounds cheesy, but you guys are the best clubbing (and normal otherwise
) buddies i could ask for! those of you that i see basically every show when i come up, i will miss you all terribly. i don't like going to shows in seattle at all because i don't like the people, and i'd much rather come up to vancouver and see all you guys that i get to see not nearly enough as i'd like to! it seriously is going to suck being away from this scene now.
so to all of you that know me, i'd like to say thanks for making me feel welcome, even though i technically don't live in canada at all!
i really didn't expect much from joining TA except to have meetups once in awhile with like minded people, but i truly consider you guys my friends and this will be a hard transition. i'll still try to come up sometimes, but the 2.5 hour drive is going to seem a lot less friendly than an hour or less, especially since i'll have to drive home after a long night dancing, that same 2.5 hours. i'll definitely stick around and post too
i'll be at tiesto thanks to serge, so hopefully i'll get to see most of you one last time before i go... though i won't get to see elena who i consider my best friend out of all the TAs
. there's probably no way i can come up there any other time before i have to move, as i graduate june 12, i go on a cruise with dave the 13th-20th (yay graduation money!), move by the 27th, then go with my dad on a trip to see my grandma... very rushed month.
so although this is a bit preemptive, i just wanted to say thanks again and that ill miss all of you that i know.. especially elena/sean/kate/danny/rob/asher (though he moved! that bastard
)/serge, and other people that i KNOW i am forgetting as my memory sucks ass. you guys are the ones i see every time i come up, so itll be sad to not see you much more. and im regretful that i wont have a chance to get to know more of you that i just recently met in the last 6ish months, such as shadowmaster/christofa/all of you. or hopefully you guys will come down to seattle for a show! my couch or spare bedroom in my apartment i havent found yet is always open if those of my good friends on here come down and need a place to crash instead of a pricy hotel
anyways, ill end this cheesy post now... you guys are the only reason i don't want to leave bellingham, so feel special
heh...
We have had some awesome times clubbing
It is fun to be in the big city, I can totally relate. I'm certainly glad I got to hang out with you a couple of times, and if it makes you feel any better, Sean and I moved all the way across the country!
I'm sure we'll see each other again, and if you're ever in Montreal, look us up

I'm still in Vancouver... (I'm actually going to be here for a while still - long story).
i could have sworn you moved back to somewhere or another
then again that was awhile ago, and my memory sucks!
didnt know you guys moved, kate/sean ^_^. we'll definitely have duo hangouts sometime if we both visit each place
pfft! you can still make it to some of our events... don't be so lazy!
i'm sure you'll like seattle much better than bellingham... congrats on graduating and good luck in your job search.
see you at tiesto!

congrats on graduating and getting out of bellingham and back to the big city! for those that love it, big cities can be great.
sorry i never got a chance to meet u, u know me, im a lazy bum, kate and elena can vouch for that!
still stuck in vancouver here, though its still overall a great city.
cheers and good luck!
greg
Good luck Kim on the future. I sure we will meet at a party again sometime.
*bump* just a reminder, if you know me, come give me a hug goodbye tonight
If I knew you better i would. I've only met you once tho...

Kim, best of luck to you in seattle. i had an awesome time partying with you, especially drooling over armin
two and a half hour drive is nothing, so don't be like greg's lazy ass when good events come to van
will try to visit you for some good parties in seattle, maybe when pvd goes out there again and NOT to van hehe
i'll miss you tons also. as a matter of fact i miss seeing all you TAs. this is an awesome community, the only place pretty much in the city where we can share the love for something that many don't understand and/or dislike.
