Rusch & Murray - The Promise (Ronski Speed Mix)

I heard this track last week on Global DJ Broadcast, its easily one the best track ive heard in a long time

is the ronki speed remix going to be on the flipside of the vinyl for its release in june?

your thoughts on the track?

If we got a Robert Nickson edit of a Mike Shiver edit of this Ronski Speed remix of Rusch & Murray we may finally discover the lowest common denominator of all the shit fluff trance coming out in 2004.

Seriously, ronski speed and rusch & murray could not produce anything original if they tried.

You must be kidding.

I second that wholeheartedly.

One of the few quotes that has the balls to be absolutley true. After his remixes of By Your Side(which was shit) and Burned with Desire(which I reluctantly gave a chance), Ronski Speed kinda fell off...his sound hasn't changed one bit, and all he remixes are over the top fluff trance. Follow You sounds EXACTLY like Im Alone(which was better of the two) and the Mike Shiver remix of Follow You is just about the worst track I've heard since I've been registered at this board.

Rusch & Murray - The Promise(Robert Nickson's Mike Shiver re-edit)

Imagine what that could POSSIBLE sound like...
Oh wait we already do. Every other Thursday on ID-T.

Sonorous produced Protonic. Ronski Speed has remixed it...one of his better remixes, I might add. And I second emul8or on his remark although I haven't heard the track....I must say I don't have any expectations from it anyhow

howabout.... Rough Mullar = sonorous ok?

I didn't much care for ronski speed's remix of By your side, or Burned with desire, but imo E.O.S. (Club mix) is very nice. Ronski Speed has co-produced with Sonorous on just about all of his singles (and with several Mirco de Govia productions too), and then remixed on top of that, and Protonic was 2003.

Don't get me wrong, guys. Sun Decade - I'm Alone was a good track; Mike Shiver - Feelings was a good track; 5th Dimension - Rain of Emotion (or whatever they ended up calling it) was a good track. Unfortunately, everything these guys put out afterwards was the same song with a slightly modified riff. In the case of Mike Shiver, that track Lunation was just a pathetic joke. Robert Nickson - Spiral was an insult to conscientious trance listeners. Sun Decade - Follow You is not even worth mentioning. It's not trance or pop or anything like that... its genre is undoubtedly "garbage". R&M - Epic was a direct rip off of En-Motion - Getting Away With It, though the one I asked claimed he had never heard the Helstrip track . I'd love to see something good come out of any or all of these guys but I just don't see it happening.

And yea, protonic was one of my favorite tracks of 2003 but i never give the ronski speed mix play

I have heard this song! Really performent track but not his best remix . I think it could be better if there was a nice soft voice

Since someone brought up Ronski Speeds work in the past year or two, I'd like to know if I'm the only one who liked Ronski Speeds remix of Aly & Fila's Eye Of Horus? I thought that was a quality track with lots of uplifting energy. And those quick little beats right before the melody kicks in...

As for The Promise... meh, nowhere near as great as Epic.

Ronski Speed remix is quite good.

8.5/10

Posted by sigmanova on Jul-01-2004 03:03:

well everyone's taste for music they like is of course their opinion but saying that the producers suck is a tad uncalled for

i personally like this track very much, and enjoy having it on repeat every now and then...i think the whole point of a thread like this is to discuss the track itself...what was good, what wasn't so good, not to bash/flame the people that made it...as i think 95% of us that do bash probably can't make any better...that's my two cents on it

Ronski Speed mix is growing on me, i wish the drop out was a little shorter but it kicks in nice

Dope track. I love it. Thats all I can say!

Posted by Spang on Jul-01-2004 08:26:

I wouldnt call this fluffy trance but more energetic trance. The original is fluffy with a buildup for like 3 minutes but Ronski speed puts the power back in it i think.

i like Ronski speed stuff. A bit to electronic with computer sounds but thats his style and how you can tell one of his tracks. Just like Airwave, Tiesto etc....each with there own sound and it must be working otherwise they wouldnt be as popular as they are today.

No your are not the only one !!
I prefer his remix as Solid Globe's remix: much intensity !

Posted by Massive84 on Jul-01-2004 12:47:

i love Ronski speed-Horizon (dub mix)..one of my favourite tracks ever..

the breakdown is so nice, the melody is ace.

best production from him IMO, but i heard it never got signed.

Posted by neoraver on Jul-01-2004 12:50:

this remix sucks

and yeah, I second that this production aint even comparable to Epic, which was a masterpiece imo

Posted by MinsK on Jul-01-2004 13:06:

Smiley DJ

From my point of view his best remix is
Sonorous - Protonic (Ronki Speed Mix)
No doubt for me !!
