on a serious note tho... I hope the finals go off without any major problems, times like this the 'first world' countries need to set an example, not like those maniacal countries, for example, Turkey, Cambodia, Canada & Australia

Yeah, I know england have a bad rep for their fans, but tbh as much as i dont condone it, I find the eastern european ones who boo & harass black players more unacceptable

I think trouble is inevitable.

It sounds like the police are going for the heavy-handed approach, which in the Portuguese summer heat could get a lot of people worked up who would normally have nothing to do with hooliganism.

U'll find that was Charleroi in 2000 we were well behaved in 98 compared to 2000

Holiganism is too entrenched in english football, Im a season ticket holder for a division 1 team and every week you see the people involved in violence, they stick out like a soar thumb. Every professional Football club in the uk(all 92) has a Holiganism element in their support. It is far from dead. Hopefully the dick'eds will stay away from euro 2004.
