Someone asked me to make a supersaw in Reason.

Which is something I've never really tried in Reason. I've done saw leads, even wide saw leads (most of which sucked ), but I usually do my big, wide, leads in Pro-53 now.

After about 15 minutes of work...

Right Click, Save As. (This is Geocities, so if it doesn't work, come back in an hour. It's only 35k, hopefully there can be enough DL's)

(It's just an .rns inside the zip, BTW. No MP3)

It doesn't sound much like the lead originally used with the melody (Rank 1), but what can ya do? In any case, hope this helps out a few people both here and elsewhere who have problems making the sound...I know a couple people liked my "Punk" lead I posted a couple months ago...

Thumbs up

pretty amazing. teh main work is done only by Reverb...

It's pretty good.

Something I've noticed with all the Reason-made supersaws (at least the ones that have been posted) is they have a large amount of hiss at the upper end, as if the noise was turned on. But it's not. Possibly something to do with their modelling algorithims for saw waves? Perhaps the way the upper-end eq boost works?

In this case, it has to do mostly with the fact that the filter still has a little resonance left when it opens up. Something I fixed in my copy, but am too lazy to reupload.

Just look in the automation track and delete the resonance at the end, or bypass the filter. The "HISSS" goes down remarkably, and some clever EQ'ing could make it much better.

Very Good. Agree with Tranc3 also. Wondering how can the loud Hiss sound can be get rid.

WOW! dude, that is a seriously well sounding sound! It's just like the original Airwave! If I hadn't seen the file for myself I never would have believed that was reason

And yes, I agree, *hiss* sounds are really bad, I use vanguard alot and it hisses like crap, it's almost like one of my oscillators has a noise waveform set to it

Wow! I'm a total beginner and as it happens I was just listening to Breathing yesterday and thinking "I wish I could recreate that sound". Seeing how you created it is so helpful when trying to learn. Thank you!!!

ya that hiss is weird, it comes always when yo max out the subtractor cut off filter.

nice, but why have you left the 'freq' on filter1 wide open (127) sounds a lot better at 93 for instance

still great job
