Dunno Anybody going to Central Park but not Spirit?

So there is NO way that I will be able to make it to Central Park. If I get out of work early I might be able to catch the end of it, but it is doubtful. I could make the after party @ Spirit, but I can't see spending $40 for the simple priviledge of buying tickets to the after party. Is there NE one planning on going CP, and not the after party?? If you know anyone let me know.

Thanks,

jon

I am not 18 and don't have an extra 30 bucks so yeah I won't be going either. I was hoping there would be some kind of Dinaire after-after party I could go to...

it looks like i'll be giving up my ticket for the afterparty, since my sister (who is 16) will still be in the city that night. also, i'm going to buy my sister a ticket to the central park thing, so if someone gives me cash I can pick up an afterparty ticket for a 2nd person when i buy my sister's ticket.

i got my ticket for CP

edit: i was planning to go to Shelter afterwards for Dumonde, but the date has been changed
I guess I'll have to go to Spirit now

yo is spirit gonna be 18 to get in or 21??

Posted by Tranz on Jun-02-2004 23:58:

4 hours of PvD is more than enough for me... repeated tracks.
Fuck Spirit... I'll never step in there again after Twilo closed.

Posted by Psionic on Jun-03-2004 00:02:

Yeah, there's no point in seeing PvD again to hear repeated tracks. The concert in Central Park is going to be enough for me

Posted by stevebutabi on Jun-03-2004 00:52:

he's not going to play repeated tracks...

if he does, i will lose all respect for him... he's at the edge of the cliff with me already.

i thought you could only go to the afterparty if you went to SS?

Posted by VisionsofPVD on Jun-03-2004 17:36:

Arrow

I personally feel this afterparty is the dumbest promotional ploy MADE events has come up with..I mean, isn't CP enough PvD for a night? After all, last year's Event was rated the best event of the year, and isnt $37ish enough money MADE has choked out of us? I won't be going to Spirit bc it is over expenditure of both my money and time...

(BTW...they might as well make an after-after party for another freakin $50!!)

This is true Erin.....they are asking to buy the after party tickets off the people that are going to ss but not the after party.

Posted by Tranz on Jun-04-2004 01:52:

The more I think about it, the less I want to go... I forgot how bad his track selection was last year. I think I may save my $$$ this year. Thanks for the reminder Sirocco.

what the fuck are you guys talking about? wasn't the 'afterparty' last year in a record store? of course it was going to suck.

Posted by Sirocco on Jun-04-2004 03:44:

form what i heard, the afterparty was a vics loft?

Posted by DJ_Lord on Jun-04-2004 07:00:

I assume since it is an afterparty, he will play a much more darker set. But who cares, the point is to go and have fun, not analyze his set.

No... the point is, I'm not paying $40 to hear the Reflections CD live in Central Park.
