I really hope I can go, but it might be bad timing. I might be stuck in Tokyo for work.
It would suck since I live here!

Thanks for the link Moncster
Sweet...I've been to the Love Parade before but it would be cool to go to the first US Love Parade. Where in San Fran will it be held? Hopefully not on those damn steep hills!
Maybe they'll be renting out the trollys?

i think this is retarded, us does not even come close in music or culture to germany and shouldn't be trying to copy

no no no.. this is in no way the same loveparade.. they've been planning this since before they cancelled the berlin loveparade.. there are many loveparades all around the world these days but none of them are as good as the original is or was and i don't think this one will be either...

| Originally posted by DaveT There is a rather big culture here. It's just not as many people (note SF only has 800,000 people living in it). SF is credited by tons of people as the home of house music, too. And trance is pretty f'in huge here. ![]() SF is also one of the busiest places int he world as far as tourism goes. And the local government here is more lenient than the vast majority of cities around the US. If I had to guess where it will be held, BTW, I would say along the Embarcadero which lies along the bay....tons of standing room around there, street space, and ther ecould even be stages setup on the piers for special after parties. |
I visited San Fran a few weeks ago for the first time. I think it's a wonderful place to have a love parade. The weather is beautiful. HUGE attendance of dance music.... I can't wait to go back!
sweet deal

chinese new year parade was up and down market street, so it would make sense to go up market street and blast out all the banks and department stores and etc.. i mean it is a parade after all, right?
embarcadero would be a logical place for after-parties though...
gah, i hate virginia...
