Numark DM3050 Mixer

Couldnt find any info about this new mixer with search. Just wondering if any of you own or could comment on this mixer.

I heard dissapointing things about its predsessor from a lot of people on the board, but im hoping numark might have addressed some of those issues in this new product.

im not overly keen on the look, but it looks tidy. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this mixer. Very reasonably priced too which kinda worries me, you can see all the details

HERE

it is a shit version of the dm3000 series, which is shit in the first place

it looks nice and tidy, but with that price tag i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, it will probably take 3 months to break as opposed to the usual 5-6....

It's an amazing set of features for the price. 3 channel, slit and blend cue, effects send & return. For a 100 mixer which it is seems an amazing mixer. I mean you don't really expect a 100 mixer to last much more than 1-2 years anyway.

In the old days you'd be lucky if you got eq's for that.

My DM-3000X is still going strong... well one channel's phono stage is fucked but I just use the other two channels and all is good.

PS - I have had it for over 2 years now.

Whats the sound quality of the Numark DM 3000 range like? My mixer is knackered and im on a very small budget. I would seriously consider this mixer, but things that sound too good to be true, normally are.

no.

i had one.

they are dog shit.

if you play any kind of vigorously mixed music your faders will die in not long. the crossfader lasts even less time. so unless you are ultra careful and make only slow movements with your faders, they WILL die. on mine, the cue signal also fucked up after 6 months, cutting out all the bass in the cue signal, which is kind of annoying when you play techno and sometimes you NEED the bass in your ears.

i will never in any way ever condone anyone buying a cheaper numark mixer (i dont know how the more expensicve ones fare..) as they are a waste of money.

well, i know a bunsh of peeps having this mixer, and no one has had any problems with it that i know of. i'm very unfamiliar with your problems. tho i'm not rapeing the mixer either!

could be that the crossfader gets worn out pretty quick, but since i don't use it. i don't no.

still both thumbs up!!

yea... i had a dxm-06 and that worked completely fine. i liked the sound quality and everything. only thing i could really complain about were the effects.

My DM-3000X sounds very decent (hooked up to very nice amp and good speakers). Like I said I did have one problem with my channel 3 phono stage suddenly getting a lot of extra background noise after a few months. My crossfader is not in great shape but I don't use it anymore anyway. The upfaders have not died on me yet (when they do I will probobly upgrade the mixer) but I spin mostly prog these days with some trance, which means I do end up making very slow changes to the faders. More recently the cue fader knob is starting to leak, if I put it all the way to the cue side, the master leaks through a little. This only happens when I jam the knob to that said and is not that big a deal because I can go a little more to the master side and it will fix the problem.

In the end I think it is a very decent first mixer which can be found super cheap online. If cost is an issue I would deffinitly recommend the 3000X mixer over the 3002X because it is so similar and is usually way cheaper. Main thing I miss from my 3000X with the 3002 has is the level lights for each channel.
