Yes god dammit, this track needs an ID pronto! I tried posting on J00f's message board, but he didn't reply. Perhaps pestering him with a sample via email will help?

Posted by RebeL9 on Jun-04-2004 09:45:

try to post the sample on the ID section on www.isratrance.com
the guys there are pretty good at this

When I get a chance over the next few days I'll pop it there, and at J00Fs message board. And I'll keep pestering him about it too.

Ok its on J00Fs message boards.

Someone called Simon over there says it sounds like something from a group called Flying Rhino - someone with lots of time on their hands can go look.

Flying Rhino is a label, not a group. That does narrow it down a bit, but I still can't find anything on any group or track on Flying Rhino named "Angkor" Try isratrance while you're at it.

Maybe Angkor was a 'work in progress' name. I found that with another track in this EM.

I spent ages looking for Semuta - The Future, before finding out that it had been released as Choci vs. Dirtsnob - Future is. So maybe the track isnt called Angkor at all.

I've registered on Isratrances forum ATM. See what they think.

Here are links to the threads on other forums. Incase I disappear and someone IDs it on another board.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is a remix of Moksha - The Creation.

Heres how I got to this. According to the Radio 1 tracklist, this is Angkor - Untitled. Its what weve always known this as.

So I've searched long and hard for Angkor. No luck. All I found was Moksha - Angkor, which is wrong.

The vocals in the unknown track say "Every action is part of the creation", so I did a search for 'The Creation'. Co-incidentally, Moksha did a song called 'The Creation'.

Now, I've found this track -> moksha_-_thee_creation_(rmx). I've no idea what remix this is, but there definatly is muted vocals saying 'Part of the creation'. The remix I found isnt the one we're looking for, but its something to look into anyway.

So everyone go NOW and find info on Moksha. Discogs has this ->

http://www.discogs.com/release/145184

(Before anyone gets into a fit, the Angkor listed on this CD is NOT what we're looking for).

Anyone with this CD or access to it must look into this. All tracks on this CD must be checked out. Just in case. I might try and find info on the producers and email them a sample.

I could be barking up the wrong tree entirely, but its worth a look.

That theory still leaves one question, where did the "Angkor" in the TL come from?

Dunno. But it does all seem like a bit of a coincidence.

Posted by THE_Chris on Nov-01-2005 22:17:

A year since this thread was last seen and Im still working on this bloody tune No ID yet, but Im trying to decode the male vocals in it. I think they're from a film - possibly a gangster film, but fuck knows how that fits in with the whole Angkor thing.

I also maintain its not "Angkor - Untitled", but "Untitled - Angkor". Angkor was the capital of the Khmer Empire in Cambodia. If you wrote a track, you wouldnt call yourself Angkor, but youd make a track CALLED Angkor. My guess is that this was a CDR/white/acetate with the word ANGKOR on it in pen. This is backed up by the fact that the original Radio 1 tracklist that John presumably sent them had the 1st track listed as "Imagination - Satellite & Lee" (title/artist), when in fact its actually "Satellite & Lee - Imagination" (artist/title).

So Im going around audiophile forums trying to get people to decode the vocals and maybe find out where theyre from. Heres the post incase anyone here fancies a go

Need a big favour on this file

Ok so Im trying to get the name of this track. Long story short, noone knows the name, except that its on official tracklists as 'Angkor - Untitled'. Now Ive done piles of searching for that word and its a place in Cambodia, so I think someone made a mistake with the name.

There are plenty of muffled vocals in the track, and Im trying to isolate them to see if I can work out what they say. Im convinced theyre from a film or something. Knowing the vocals is a great help in tracking it down.

Anyone with any audio experience fancy having a go at finding out what they are, by whatever devious audiophile/filter/whatever tricks? Or anyone got a link to a forum of audiophiles? I had a go and played around with the bandpass - Ive included my attempt at that to see if anyone can clear it up more. But I havent got the kit to do anything fancy

There are male and female vocals. The female vocals are easy to deciphre, but its the male vocals Im after.

Any help would be great. Heres the link ->

Rapidshare link - scroll down, select Free, scroll down, wait till it says you can download. (No spyware/adware/shit)

Thanks a mil

Edit: Just realised this isnt a Sig ID. It is now

the track is called Angkor - Every Action.

Angkor is a group from Mexico composed of three members (Hugo Carrano, Pit Carrano and Joaqun Maulen).
They only have 2 releases on physical format, a track called Cosmic Soul on this compilation The Secret Soundofla Volumen 2
and another one called 24 HRS on this vinyl.

beside this they made few more tracks, unfortunately unreleased, like this one used by John '00' Fleming in his Essential Mix...

I'm never really on Tranceaddict any more so imagine my surprise when Rebel9 messaged me to say this has been IDed. 18 years unknown, and it has finally been cracked. Never thought I'd see the day. Thank you sir!

Its hilarious when you think about it, since this track was first played and was listed as an unknown I finished my degree, did a Masters, did two years of a training scheme, worked for eight years in Dublin and a year in Cork. Its nuts!

How on earth did you crack it? Luck? Or do you know someone who knows someone.

it all started like 2 weeks ago when someone added this release to discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Eureka-001/release/14719172

when i've seen "Angkor" and "progressive house", i knew i must look into it... so, i tracked down all the producers on facebook and one of them answered, Pit Carrano.
i ask him if he produced the track played in the Essential Mix and he said yes. One day later he sent me 6 Angkor tracks:

Angkor - 24 HRS
Angkor - E-Motion
Angkor - Every Action
Angkor - Freshmoon1
Angkor - Icons
Angkor - Up In Sky
