best DJ Software?
give me some i can download a trial for it.
I've always liked A&H version 3.2 together with Stanton ST1.50
brrr, mixing software
oh well dude, i'm a kid with no money wat else can i turn to?
hate to break it to you man, but DJ software generally just sucks. to make it worth while, you'd need some external controllers, and a very good computer, and for that much investment, you could almost get yourself some decks.
the least-sucky one i've used seems to be Traktor. but again, you'd need a soundcard with 2 outputs, or 2 soundcards to be able to monitor tracks. and using a mouse to turn EQ knobs and pitch tracks is plain gay.
if you just want to compile mixes with your PC for listening, there are other, much better, and also harder, ways to do it. i once mixed an entire 70min set using only soundforge, and a calculator (calculate BPMs, use time stretching, select track sections, apply fade-ins and fade-outs respectively, and then use mixpasting to set everything up). you can make some pretty good stuff this way, but it's quite time consuming. if i had the choice, doing it on decks is 10 times more fun.
traktor dj studio is good
however, it's still hard to use it with a mouse
traktor is alright, but for the price it costs, you can almost buy a cheap second hand set of decks and a mixer
The beats keep slipping in traktor too, thought it was my shite computer, but a friend said he had the same problem, anyone else
Traktor and PCDJ FX 7 are better choices out there..

Myxoft DSS DJ is a very good choice, and a whole lot esier to use than traktor. With traktor you have to have a sound card that supports ASIO driver, and that's expensive.
With DSS DJ, you just need two sound sources. You can use your computers current soundcard for 1 one of them and get another cheapie usb soundcard from ebay(less than $30) that will work.

Anyone who wants good information on Traktor should check the forums at http://www.nativeinstruments.de/traktor_forums/
A lot of the information being posted here is inaccurate.
