Just heard my own tune on the radio!

I was listening to beat 106 just there with my mates and the dj played Firestar-Glide,the track that i made and posted up here 3 weeks ago! He said "Current track playin is the awesome prototype mix of firestars Glide" and im not kidding!

Anybody else from scotland here hear it? It is scotlands biggest radio station! What do u reckon i should do? Phone in and tell them its my track? How did he manage do play my tune? i have so many questions,im so excited!!!!!

in these days its not really a problem for radio DJ's to play tunes they found on the net...
a friend of mine is doing it all the time, he's browsing on mp3.com, vitaminic.com and plays the artist's music on the radio... ofcourse he gives them the credit...

and you think that's cool?

I just got a videotape in the mail, i put it in my VCR and I see a movie and some of my old tunes are playing as the theme music for the movie

and at the ending credits I saw my name

I sometimes listen to Beat 106 but what time was this at? Is he likely to play it again and how did he get the track?

P.S where in Glasgow are you from?

Congratulations Transa Must be very cool for u to have heard your own tune on the radio ! Well done and can u give me a link for your track ? i would love to hear it !

no matter what Gil Shwarts said , I think its very cool for you Transa, EVERYONE has to start somewhere and i am sure Mr Shwarts felt the same when he heard one of his tunes for the 1st time on the radio !

Phone up the station and tell them its your track and tell them to play it as often as they like

Yo,paul m8 we where all out in the car at the time,i cant remember the exact time,probably about an hour ago,and i have no idea how he got it or if he will play it again.I havent received any e-mails from the station which i dont really think is very fair,because they could only have gotten it by either logging into my locker,with the password that i only gave to people in the forum.Weird.

Hey neo,the only way to get my tracks until i finish this dam website of mine is to log into storagevault.net with the name transa,and the password music,and grab it from there.While ure there u could get my other track Firefly.Although im pissed off at the fact that after i uploaded it i made the track twice as long and added so many new synth effects etc etc, i should have waited to upload the fully finished product,but u can kind of see what type of track it is.
Im just experimenting tryin to make tunes as good as transa,and it is a b*tch!

Now ive heard my stuff gettin mixed by big djs on the radio im determined to make it as a producer!

Congratulations mate! I think that's something that most of us can only dream will happen to us. Just remember today coz in 10 years time when you're famous and doing interviews and stuff you can talk about the first time you heard one of your tracks on the radio!

I'd get in touch with the station though and let them know who you are, if only for the fact that the DJ obviously likes the track and has probably got a few contacts. Sounds like the first rung in the ladder to me. Well done.

It was an amature movie so I didn't get paid and it doesn't really bother me as long as they wrote my name in the Credits...
