yep I read that too, thought it was just me

Posted by 00soups00 on Jun-10-2004 20:17:

yeh i got that too

but no change in costs

to be honest it looked kinda dodgy

not a formal email that you'd expect from
one of the biggest online vinyl stores

Posted by 00soups00 on Jun-10-2004 20:38:

i think it makes it mroe affordable...

i just bagged 6 records, and went to order
in EUROs (which is best for us aussies to use)
and 6 records plus Rapid Air Express cost
$125bux AUD..

not great, but not bad for delivery in a couple
of days and for really really upfront records

shame he spammed his site in 5+ forums and one of the mods banned him.

Being DJ Precision he should know how this kinda thing works.

shame.

kinda runs hand-in-hand with teh crap emailing list

Just a quick heads up... If you order from there try to track where it is

The last order I did from there got to Australia in 2-3 days but sat in Customs for 2 months because they didnt supply a sufficient invoice on the package. The customs guys emailed only-djs 3 times I think yet didnt get a reply. In the end I had to print out and send a copy of the invoice myself.

its a pity, cause the place has so many good records! But if the service is that bad, ill go somewhere else (thats my 4.25 cents!)

That happened to me first time i used Dancegrooves. Ordered about 10 records and a shirt. Didnt get anything for about 2 months so i had to ring Australia post, customs etc and use detective skills to hunt down the shipping company they used. They didnt even send an invoice with the package so i had to do the same thing as you diggs.

I wonder why Only-djs shipping price has gone up so much. When i started to order for them it was about 12 pounds flat and got here in a week. Now its about 30 pounds and gets here in close to 2 weeks. Double the price, double the time????

Ill stick with chemical thanks. They get the promos first (from the uk labels) and there shipping is half that of any other store. So soups, unless you REALLY need a track for a gig then its not worth spending so much on shipping for a couple of tracks. Chemical will have it within a week or so.

p.s. Chemical records gave me there entire back catalogue of trance to say that

Posted by 00soups00 on Jun-10-2004 23:20:

i am damn happy happy with Chemical

Ordered thru them for Reverence, No One on Earth etc.

i just want them to get In Silence in..

that track is damn ROCKIN!!!!

the daily updates from Chemical are good also

Posted by webmeister on Jun-10-2004 23:27:

Yeah I ordered 9 from Chemical last night and 7 more from Juno which weren't available on Chemical....

13 pounds shipping from CR, 17 pounds from Juno .. go figure

Posted by gumble on Jun-11-2004 02:37:

juno are a tad more pricey on service, but i got my records in a week, so i didnt mind.

Juno have a factor of the cost put aside for replacements...IE if they send you the wrong record, they'll replace it for free. Chem ask you to send it back, and they'll send you the new one.

Haven't ever been sent the wrong record, though now that I've said that they'll probably do it in the shipment they sent this morning

Posted by EssentialMix3r on Jun-11-2004 06:38:

nice nice

Posted by stamper on Jun-11-2004 07:08:

Guys if you are after a "FAST" online-record store, you can't go past Dancegrooves (www.dancegrooves.com). The have pretty much exactly the same stuff at exactly the same time as only-djs, and they do actually get here in 2 days. You can even track the shipment online and see exactly where in the world it is.

If you are in no hurry tho chemical is the best by far.

PLEASE READ THIS:....

I have always bought my tunes from only dj's and recess records and their service is fucking excellent! the problem is with our customs system!

DO U KNOW... if ur order exceeds $255 AUD including shipping, customs have to recieve ur order as a "formal entry" this will add a magical $55 fee and increase ur wait time to anywhere up to 2 months depending on the customs broker ur courier uses!

If it is under $255AUD they can do an "informal entry" hence no more charges! and normally no delay. I have contacted the stores and asked to be invoiced for postage separately to the sale and they told me that is illegal and they can't do it.

The price per record if u can get ur shipment under $255 is about $16 aud with postage!! I normally get my tracks 2-3 weeks before Australian stores. If u need to go over $255 just try to buy enough to warrant the "formal entry" fee aswell. If u have any questions that u think i can help with pm me or email me at [email protected] Vinyl warning is always good to. their service is top notch and if u ask for a track they'll probably be able to get it.

Posted by Master_Yoda on Jun-11-2004 13:28:

Only place i've ever baught from is Chemical.

Go with what u trust... but why would u want to pay 30 pounds for postage?? That's heaps more than the vinyl itself, even if ur getting around 3.

your are right! in everyway!
except it is $250 (not $255)
and $50 (not $55)

(by the way: there is no customs tax on records it is free, only thing require to pay if you go over $250 is 10% GST+$50 for the paperwork for a formal entry)

hint: i think if your a big customer
you can always go talk to dj precision to work out a deal
you get cheap everything!
and if your a top dj etc..
you get sent promos from him with your shippment

hope that helps!
