-- Dj's and the money they make.
Dj's and the money they make.
I recently had a debate with my friends about how much money a dj makes. I know the Pvd, Oakie, Sasha and Diggers can make like $25,000 just mixing for an hour in front of a huge crowd. But i also wanna know about the not so big Dj's. Like the ones that wouldnt be heard of outside your town, state or country.
Here in NYC, theres a Dj that spins friday nights named Tony Draper. The club is called Exit and on a typical friday night, 5000+ people enter. Its the K-mart of all Ny clubs as they say . Multirooms, huge dancer, lots of lights and an open rooftop. What ive heard is that the main dj (Draper)spins for 6 hours amd makes $2000 on that friday night. Hes a weekly resident there too. I dont know how correct that is, but considering the amount of money thats paid to get into the club ($25), I think $2000 a night for the dj is pocket change compared to what the club makes that night.
Tell me what you think an know about this topic. I wanna prove my friends wrong cause they are tryin to tell me he makes ONLY $700 that night.
um, in aussie DJ would only make around that last figure, or less, but then, that is only for a 1 hour[ish] set
but i dunno
alls i know is i get paid enough to keep me happy!

Man I would just like to be paid enough to cover the costs of my expensive vinyl habits.
For the love of the music.

i am not sure what the prices of local djs get, but the amount of money the top djs can get, for a half hour set is huge, so if a small dj can get $2000, that is pitty good for 1 night, so it is obviously worth doing
The top DJs get paid tons of $ to spin. They also get whatever they want before and after the show and get flown to places in private jets. Damn I want to be a DJ.
here in israel is quite intersting
there are great Dj's but even in a parties with 7000+, a regular Dj in israel for an hour set will get 300$ - 500$ but a very good dj can get up to
1000$- 1200$ but for longer sets.
so in israel they aint paying that much
a young dj even with great skills get get some times only 200$ for longer sets.
