so....how about those pistons?
no one still gives them a chance in hell to win this series even after they smoked LA by 20 points last night. they have dominated every game and should be up 3-0. pistons in 6.
DETROIT WHAT
GO PISTONS!!! I hate basketball with a passion but I hate seeing those damn laker flags on everyone's cars even more. I can't wait until Detroit kills LA so i don't have to put up with all these Laker crazed idiots who only come out of the woodwork until playoff time.
GO DETROIT!!!!!!!!!

My favorite team is the sacramento kings
my second favorite team is whoever is playing against the lakers
Fuck the lakers
Detroit all the way
I've always been a Laker fan. Of course I was a much bigger fan back in the 80's when they'd have their epic battles with Bird and the Celtics, but I still cheer for them.
This year's a little different, though. As a KU Alum, how can I not cheer for the former B-Ball coach from my Alma mater who brought us an NCAA championship? That defense you see is classic Brown-stifling defense, and it's fantastic to see when everyone plays it correctly. The Pistons look incredibly strong, and I really don't see how the Lakers can avoid self-implosion this time around. To be honest, I'm impressed that Kobe, Shaq, and the rest haven't completely melted down yet (though it's been pretty close).
I hope Detroit finishes this series without going back to LA. I guess we get to see how Phil Jackson can recover from this one (if he can).
GOOOOOOOOOOOOO lakers..lakers in 7

but the series is 2-1 and last time I checked, you had to win 4 to win the series (not that I care who wins)

See you have to win 4 to claim the series and a 2-1 lead means nada, not that I care who wins. First one to four, series goes 6 at least unless the Lakers emplode (like Kobe's out of a groove game 3 :haha
Regardless of who wins, they will be refered to as World Champions. What kind of shit is that? They only play in Canada and The States. How does this in any way justify the title "World Champs"?

But do they play around the world? In order to be a world champion in anything, you must compete against a fair amount of teams representating the entire world. It doesn't count if the organization you play in has people from all different parts of the world. In many people's eye's you can consider America to be that.
Black and white, you need to play the teams which represent the countries from different parts of the world. The NBA doesn't, they are not world champions.

The Olympic Team that shit stomped the rest of the world are world champs because they went through the steps to get there. The Lakers or whoever wins this year did not and are not.
Just because you smoke crack with them best of them doesn't mean that if you smoke more crack than them in one sitting that you're the world champ at it.
