Dual monitor's

Is two soundcards necessary to run dual monitors, one card for each monitor, I have an nvidia 5900 in my comp, is there any adapters or nething for the "white socket next to the blue one" (not sure what it's called)...?

Thanks

two SOUND cards aren't needed.. but u may need two video cards

there was just a thread that explained this.. if your card has DVI than you don't as your card should come with a DVI to VGA adapter.. but if your card doesn't than you'll need another video card..

There are graphics cards that are specifically designed to support more than 1 monitor.

The white is more likely a DVI connector. Most of the DVI are connected to LCD screen. And the blue which VGA for both LCD and CRT monitor.

If you had both CRT monitors, consider Maxtro (Hope I got the name correctly)

i have an nVidia video card as well.. i'm pretty sure the entire FX series is dual monitor capable right out of the box.. there should be a blue connector and a white connector on your card.. and you should of gotten an adapter that will change the white adapter to a plug like the blue one..

Absolutely. If you're using two CRT monitors, get a $5USD DVI to VGA converter for your white input.

As I mentioned :
