Vengaboys - Paradise

i heard this song on an oakenfold set and it was the only song that stood out so I found out the name and i was like wtf?

did they steal this song from someone or what?

the Original Mix of Paradise sounds a LOT like Way Out West, fucking incredible tune!

I'm not heavily into breaks but I do like this tune a lot. I first heard it when I purchased the Vengaboys album when it was released ('98 I think). Love the bass, the beats, the vocal and the piano riffs.

far from a cheese act when 3/5 of their album is quality trance

now judging from their second album though i'd have my cheese grater ready

No, this is most definitely trance and not "something-breaks". Trance isn't defined by a 4-4 beat . That is the kind of thinking which motivates all of the shit coming out in 2004.

One of the trademarks of the trance sound is the four-to-the-floor beat. Some trance tracks have breakbeat sections, but if a song is completely breakbeat then it is considered breaks and not trance.

if they chose the shittiest song by marco v and put it on the radio that wouldn't make him a shitty artist therefore putting the cheesiest song on the radio doesn't make the person cheese
