Using audiophile cartridges on Technic Turntable

I'm here in the states in NYC. A lot of audiophile stores here and ebay sell high end cartridges at a huge discount. For example, I found a couple Grado Prestige Silver/Golds, Denon, and a Sumiko Blue Point (sumikos have an amazing reputation)

I am wondering how well these cartridges would sound with electronic music and bedroom dj setups. I don't scratch. Principally, I want to use the setup to record vinyl to wave or aiff files.

Anyone here have some experience and advice to share?

People go on and on about getting good cardts and styli, but 9 out of 10 of them couldn't hear the differnce betweent the two. If grip isn't a big issue, then even stanton needles will do. Ortofon make nice carts as well but they all work. If you're not scratching, it doesn't really matter.

Wrong forum.. but

Maybe for sound quality you can't tell by ear, but there is a difference. Cheap carts can wear on your records more, they might not last as long and they definitely don't look as cool .
