I spend $500/month on gas

What the fuck, how is this possible?! I'm driving a rental Mitsubishi Lancer right now, which is only around 120 horses, and yet eats up $500 of gas monthly!

Jun 15, 2004 - $30
Jun 14, 2004 - $34
Jun 09, 2004 - $40
Jun 07, 2004 - $47

Oh boy, am i looking forward to getting an Eclipse NOW! Twice the horses. I can see it already...$700 gas, $700 insurance, $400 financing. Excuse me while i go hang myself

Dude you drive too much if you're filling up every other day!!!!

My expedition costs me just over $100.00 a tank, but I get like 4 days out of it! (I still spend more than you on gas per month, but I've got a 5.4L V8 with Holley Thunder Supercharger- 390hp, 445torq, and that's hauling around 6k lbs and change.) You either drive wayyyy too much, or you accelerate too fast lol.

You went through $40 worth of gas in a day... in a Lancer... and you still manage to post frequently on TA. Yeah, right... sure we believe you.

Didn't you start another thread about this exact same thing?

I'll say it again anyways: maybe stop speeding.

The faster you go, the better the gas mileage

idiot. cars have an optimal speed where they get the most fuel efficiency. between 40-60 mph (65 to 100 km/h).

Sheesh...

Even when I was commuting daily from Barrie<-->Toronto I wasn't spending that much!!
(If you must know how much, I saved all my gas receipts for a year and calculated roughly $250/mnth; that's including all the extracurricular trips to Toronto).
And I'm driving a 6 cylinder...

Damn....where the hell do you drive too????

besides trolling for tail....

It wasn't NEARLY as bad with my Civic - i was spending $200-250 tops. I don't understand how this car can possibly eat this much gas. If it was the 270hp Evo, i wouldn't be surprised, but it's an ES!

Have you calculated your milage?
Maybe you sleep drive?

not at all...we are fortunate

d!abolic, hopefully you're talking about an older Eclipse? The newer ones just don't hold a candle to the 1G or 2G DSMs!
