Question What do you think of Aliases??

I wanted to see the opinions of others for this question because I personally believe they are pointless.

It's so the artist can release his or her work under different labels, therefore a different name is needed because of copyright.

A good idea if artists like to experiment with different styles of sound. Otherwise I don't really see the point.

PS: All aliases should include the name "von Schrabelschnitzel"

IMO a good idea for artists to use different aliases for different styles of music.. They also have to do that to be able to release stuff on different labels...

what I don't understand is even if an artist creates a diffirent style of music, why they must have an alias for that. Why can't they release all their music under one name?

Becasue they will have to stay with the same label as I said up the page, becasue the label will hold the copyright of that name and the music under it.

the reason an artist might choose an alias as already mentioned make them a necessary part of the music world...

Good idea, except when you get out of control witht hem such as fery and m.i.k.e. I think they are good to separate different producing styles from each other. So that a person will not release hardtrance, techno, prog, and trance all under one name, and confuse the fck out of fans.

It amazes me how many people don't know why artists have so many aliases! Get informed.

Good Idea if they want to switch up their style get into an alter ego

Good idea.

It allows artists to experiment with different sounds, which I like.
